I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship. Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Meryl

Has there been any rain or wind up there? It seems maybe you guys have pretty much dodged a bullet?? That would be great!!
Wellll.......he still hasn’t gotten here....lol....like someone said “it’s like being stalked by a turtle”....lol....it’s a very bad menacing storm that just isn’t or wasn’t moving forward at all.....it will stay off our coast so we should have a lot of wind and rain here......our worst day is supposed to be tomorrowLOL.....isn't this strange for a hurricane? Don't they usually pop up and move fast?
Well ....some of them move slow but not this slow....ideally you want them to be moving forward quickly

No...most of the time it is below 50%! That is the only salvation!! Humidity would make it insanely unbearable. We have had more humidity than normal at times this summer...tropical storms come up from Baja Californa...that little penninsula that is south of San Diego.
Oh wow....has California ever had a hurricane
They are called typhoons in the Pacific....so, technically, no!!! LOL. Due to the trade winds/weather patterns they don’t hit the US but I have experienced a couple typhoons back in the day when I was in Asia. I think because there is no Gulf Stream to heat up the water so much, they are not so prevalent there. I’m no meteorologist so don’t quote me on that!! Just making a SWAG!!

I saw that about tomrrow on the endless coverage of the (so far) increasingly less menacing storm! Bahamas look devastated. That is soooo sad.
They are really bad....it hit them at a super Cat 5 then stayed for two days on top of them at a Cat 5/4
