OK-- I take that back! KIND soap is all natural--available at Whole Foods and other expensive places. Located in MO. She must have been in LA visiting stores or something--or maybe Maks was in MI and ran into her?!! LOL Was thinking it might have been the family company that makes soap that has like 8 kids who all have a job in the soap making and marketing process. Saw an interest story about them a while back; very impressive!!

Our band did some field show comps too--but never did that well. I think we did them for the first, maybe 2nd year--then focused on parade marching and drumline comps. Drumline was pretty successful. It is so subjective (just like dancing!) and the big band schools have a big advantage cuz they have better instrumentation, nicer uniforms, etc. Of course, at least out here, it depends on who your competition is too!! But it is the process, the discipline, teamwork, and the experience that matter more than the outcome.

I think she has a right to voice her opinion and I know we all wanted to see Maks as a judge too, but if you really think about it...is it right for a sibbling to judge another sibbling???
I read somewhere that in actual Ballroom Competition that you are not allowed to judge if you have famlily in the competition...
That makes perfect sense for ANY type of competition that isn't a group activity or sport. There will be bias no matter what. You just can't help it no matter how "fair" you think you are.I agree 100% as a guest judge it isn't a problem I don't think but permanent...another story...
yeah i agree too...as a guest judge it's a bit different than a permanent one
