Good Sunday morning to everyone! Just jumping on before I head out to church, then lunch with friends. Having folks over tonite (the ones who couldn't get the DVD to load! HAHA) so not sure that I will be able to chat tonite before everyone else goes to bed.
So have a great Labor Day--wherever you are!! Thanks for keeping watch last nite, Gabriele. Nice to wake up to your notes!

Not sure when this was taken but love the shot!!!
Have made several trips to China. That is the Great Wall--somewhere along its 2,000+ mile stretch. It is very steep in many places, stairs (none shown here but there are TONS of them) are mostly uneven in height and width; very steep as well. Never visit there when the Chinese are having a national holiday because it is littered with Chinese people who push and shove all around and through you!!! Great view, tho, and the history is quite amazing. Amazing also that it is so well built that it's survived this long and is still in darned good shape considering how many people trample it annually. Chinese are supposed to visit it at least once in their lives. Imagine what it took in man power to build the wall--and the lack of technology available compared with today (although China was an advanced culture at that time). I am always impressed with how well older structures are built and engineered compared with today. Common sense and innovation have been pretty well quashed and bred out of the Chinese psyche with the communist era so they are now good copiers but not so much innovators.
Must have been winter at the time of the photo. Gets very cold in that area--not that far from Siberia and the winds blow hard and very cold in the winter up north.
