I am tonight.

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Oh Wow.....umm....sounds like it maybe a rough year.....hugs.......hope it gets better for her.....and ALL of the teachers/parents that are going through it.

I don’t know what I would do if I had children in school or college...be a nervous wreck I guess.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. We had system crashes in the spring but it a lot smoother now

You would hope that the school systems learned some stuff from the spring term and worked to smooth out the bugs during the summer!!

That is true.  April do you have asthma?

You know, that’s funny you ask.....I never have before but remember back in Dec I was REALLY sick for several weeks and they told me at the Er then that I was asthmatic and just hadn’t been diagnosed.....but since I got better I haven’t taken any meds and haven’t had not the first sign of it.....it’s weird

I remember you telling us how sick you were and what the ER docs said.  SO glad that you haven't had any issues since.  Hope that continues.

Thanks

I remember that April.  you know what April, back about the same time my daughter, hubby and DIL were all sick like you and the doctor told them all they they had asthma too.  They didn’t have pneumonia or bronchitis but had noise in their lungs and they all had a terrible cough.
We have all wondered if it could have been the virus back then.

I know the feeling....I’m nervous about it too.....they’ve already had some problems with it at some schools here....has your daughter heard about her international students yet

I think that what we now know is that deaths are mainly older people (like me!) and most people recover with treatment and many don’t even have symptoms so they don’t even get sick...or only a brief little thing. So we have really had our world very much turned upside down due to the unknown. It will take a very long time for “normal” to return. I refuse to even consider that it won’t come back. People out here, where hte restrictions are pretty Draconian, are starting to just sort’ve ignore a lot of the stuff. It’s ridiculous.

You have more faith then me....I don't see things ever going back to normal.  I think some things will forever be changed and different.

I will fight till my dying breath....because some very negative and evil forces are at work in our country.  We have to fight for what is right and good.

My niece has been doing that online English teacher thing with Chinese students also. She lives in AZ. But her students haven’t been booking their times during covid so her work level is very low. Probably ok since she has 2 young kids who are doing the zoom school thing right now.

I know.  She could have had a few more students come here if they could have gotten flights or visas because a lot of the consulates were closed or they couldn’t get their visas changed.

Are Chinese visas still restricted?
