Woodland Hills is quite a trek from here.  But, New Moon sounds great!  I might have to check it out.  I was in the quilt store in Calimesa on Saturday and didn't buy a thing!!  Guess, that means I already have too much...LOL

I just checked the mileage....55 miles to New Moon from my house...........doable....OC is that far.

Fifty-five miles is not bad! Have you ever done any of the SoCal Quilters' Run? You might enjoy going with us next year (it's 2 weekends in June). We did the whole thing this year over 4 days--only 25 stores (vs. 42 a few years ago!). We do one area per day--lots of laughs and we could hook up with you, park your car, and take you to some places you wouldn't go cuz too far from you! The ones to the west are pretty good but a long way to drive yourself. We have a 7 passenger van that has auto-pilot to every quilt shop in every state!! LOL

OMG....that sounds fun....I would love that.  My friends don't even sew a button, let alone quilt!!

Yes!!!!!! LOL 175 student days!!!!!

Do you have like an advent calendar?

No....LOL I just keep track of little dates.  It gets to hard eventually.

I have 28 days until Columbus Day Inservices....a day without the kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It takes a special person to work with students.  Challenging, I bet.....

i really don't remember all the details now about where they left from or how long they traveled that kind of stuff...LOL

Didn't they go fishing right after the season ended?

I have always thought they went early in the next week, so the weekend was free in LA.

Possibly--I just don't remember now!!

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. There is a Bass Lake up north in CA also! Might be more likely the one they went to!! LOL Not sure if there is much water in it about now....but used to be good fishing. Can't remember if it is near Mammoth Lakes or closer to Yosemite.

yep thats the trip i'm talking about....it seemed to me that the reason everyone assumes the trip was at Yosimite was because of that one hashtag and Merv saying we're on Bass Lake....just found it interesting there is more than one Bass Lake and one of those happens to be only 18 miles from where we know Meryl was at the time LOL....and the fact that to the best of my memory none of the guys on the trip have ever felt the need to go camping and fishing before LOL

What are you looking for at the moment? What are your tastes?

Always looking at 30's reproduction and I like many of the bright fabric collections....oh, and I like wool........

Very similar to my tastes!! I am very traditional in my tastes in quilting but sometimes i break out and do something very different. Just whatever appeals to me at the time.....oh--no guarantee I will make it right then!!! LOL

I am like most quilters...........have alot of stashes, not made into anything....I just love fabric...

Nor would my bros call me that!  Of course, I'm the big sis so.....I wouldn't call them my shining light--not a chance!!!  LOL
