Oh Annie!  I'm afraid there is not much to spin here.  Could be that Devin is going with someone else, I hope that's true, but my guess is that she is Mak's date for this big party.  If she is what Maks wants then there is nothing we can do about it.  She is everything that he claims he doesn't want.  Total Hollywood wantabe including triple D breasts.  It's quite a picture in contrasts today, Meryl visiting children in a hospital and Maks jetting off with a 21 yr old to go to a Huge fake party.  50K to go!  37K tax deductable.    At any rate, I'm sure we will see pictures somewhere of the event.  Probably Devin will post them.  So we will see.  The jewelry line is having a fashion show, and while Maks will be involved in that I'm sure, he will still go to the party.  Maybe he asked Meryl and she turned him down.   I think I'll go to bed and try to forget I read this until tomorrow.  sigh.

You are absolutely right, you can't fake that.  BUt, a lot has happened since then.  Those emotions have been replaced by tons of others.  It's 3 months later, and who knows what has happened since then.

Annie, I noticed the gesture, too.   I think he was trying to get the audience to react, applaud, shout, etc.   He also did it in the cha cha in Week 1, I think, and when they were on Kelly & Michael.

I just realized how absolutely sick that is that I know every time he made that gesture during the season.  
 

Yikes! I didn't notice it during the cha cha -- have to go back and look -- also on Kelly and Michael. So, I saw it twice and you saw it four times!!

This is making me tired and is probably why my blood pressure is up!!! Why is it that Maks will be with and take a picture with every friggin' woman on the planet but Meryl?
