Here is where I am having a very hard time about all the nasty comments being made about Maks as a person.  First, we are a very long way from having the majority much less all the pertinent information necessary to arrive at a legitimate conclusion; but we are treating speculation as if it were true.  Second, do  we honestly believe that Maks did not talk with Meryl about all of this?   Do we honestly believe that this young man would intentionally disrespect anyone the way some now believe now think he is disrespecting Meryl?  And do we honestly believe that he would make the decision not to be a pro dancer any longer on DWTS before the finale and stick to this decision all through negotiations with DWTS only to turn around and trash Meryl by taking up with a bikini model? Devin actually co-owns with another young woman, the bikini swim suit company for which she models.   The financial ramifications of deciding not to be a pro again are enormous.  Yes, Maks co-owns dance studios; but these dance studios also support a lot of people.   To keep them viable and to grow his businesses, Maks has to stay current and ito stay in the public eye if he is to grow his business concerns. 

I do agree with you that Maks, if he is going to pursue other avenues in the business he must keep himself open to ventures and places where he will be seen as someone serious to his trade...especially in Hollywood (which I am not thrilled about) and with the new agency he is with they may be putting him out to be seen!!!

 
Or at the very least advising HIM to take these opportunities.

Also,  I believe Maks' contract was up.  They were going to let it slide and by his own words, he went to the producers and asked to come back for the last time.  It's possible that they could have renewed his contract, but I honestly don't think he wanted it.  He wants to do other things and as long as he is under contract with ABC, they have to approve anything he does.  I don't believe that Meryl talked him into anything or was even a part of his decision.

 
Hey, Ollie! Actually, I think you are correct on that. Maks actually made it pretty clear in one interview that he pretty much asked for one more opportunity on dwts. I think it was about making it right with them because he never expected to get someone he could actually win with!

yeah he said he asked them for it to be like a  clean slate...
