Yes. They have an apartment very close to campus. Oh....the first Friday night, D2 was riding her scooter and wiped out. I had to track Star down to get her drive to the ER. D2 needed her chin glued and was in a sling for a while. They thought there may be a hairline fracture, but it was just fluid in her elbow.
Oh my goodness!! Scooters can be dangerous!! Glad she is not seriously injured.
During covid when the grandkids were up for a few days (got bored staying home!), an older gentleman on a 3 wheeled tricycle got turned upside down on the sidewalk like a cockroach! We were walking across the street from where he was and heard a weak “help”…”can you help me?” When we saw where he was we went over, I asked if he was hurt or had hit his head. He said one wheel caught between the sidewalk and the grass strip and just couldn’t get up!! So we helped him up, I asked if he wanted us to walk with him to.his house….about half war up about a 1/2 mile long street. He said he was fine now that he was on the trike again. He was more worried about his wife getting all over him for being so long than anything else!!! LOLOh my, he was lucky that you came along, he could have been that way for hours. Glad he was okay.
I know….it was a good thing. Took all 3 of us to set him up!!

So Jet, how is your hubby doing? Didn't you say he was working on a model airplane......speaking of which, how is he "big" airplane doing? the one he has been working on for years?
He is doing just fine! Thanks for asking. Today he has spent most of the day inspecting the insides of his eyelids (sleeping in the recliner!), but he has been working on his model airplane and goes religiously twice a week to the airport. The flying surfaces are nearly completely finished….painted, insignia, etc. But the fuselage has not progressed since his buddy (who is 88!) finds everything else to do but work on the airplane!! LOL. Seems to be how these projects usually go!!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the part about him inspecting the inside of his eyelids...LOL!!!!!!! With his "new eyes" I am sure he got a restful view....hehehe...
Glad that he is getting some things done on his model and his bigger project.

Glad your daughter got some rain, tell her to send some your way. LOL Our Temps have been crazy, summer like. High 90's. We haven't had any fall temps until (supposedly) the end of this week.I am hopeful this may mean we’ll have a fairly wet winter. The desert states east of us had a pretty crazy monsoon season this summer. That usually bodes well for rain in the winter here.
That is good.
How did your garden do this year?
Tomatoes and green beans were out of control! Other stuff not so much, tho. Hubby put all the chicken manure in a low spot which is where we plant the tomatoes…didn’t bother to spread it out!! Those plants did fabulous but we could hav used some fertilizer elsewhere too!! LOL

So interesting that he has had fewer complaints lately about some oddities in his vision since he had the cataract surgery. I think that means his brain is adjusting!! LOL. He doesn’t even need readers now except for very small print.

He was tall but not particularly robust 😋. It was the way the trike ended up and he wasn’t particularly agile. Had to kind’ve unscramble his limbs!! LOL
