So it could have been a fuel or engine problem.....you would think, if the engine didn't sound right, not to go up, but then again, like you said, if he didn't have enough flying hours, he might not have noticed that. They investigation will tell. If you have an engine problem, you just do not go up!! Good reason to stay on the ground. Could have been a reason they felt they had to get home. Those pressure can be fatal. I hope it wasn’t something like that. It seems strange they would call someone and say they were worried about clearing the trees.
Yep, feeling like you "have" to get somewhere can put you in a lot of danger. I think that had a part in Kobe's death. I know I have made some really DUMB "got to get there" decisions....luckly all turned out okay, but boy when I look back I see just how stupid and dangerous some of those decisions were
Well, in an airplane, you have to be especially vigilant because the outcomes can be so devastating. Feeling pressure is not a good reason to do something you feel may not be right. They say you should listen to the voice inside you. I know one time, hubby started off in a helicopter from were we lived in CO to UT where he was supposed to do some work starting the next day. The weather was iffy at best when he got the call. Went out and preflighted the airplane, took off, and about an hour later showed up at home! He said the weather was closing in and he just wasn’t going to take the chance…especially in the dark and it was winter!! So lots to consider…and safety is always the first consideration.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When can you "officially" say you are out of quarantine?
Well hubby is out of quarantine on Thursday if he continues to be like he is now. I guess if I ever get my test back and it is ok then I think I still have to stay wearing a mask till Monday that is 14 days. unless I have a negative test.
April what did you have to do when you family had Covid...How was your quarantine?Hopefully, you will get that test back. It has got to be hard to wear a mask around in your own home. HUGS
Yep it is, I do it when I am cooking and when the others are home. When I am by myself I don't wear it all the time. Thank goodness it is cooler.

it was 14 days when D had it....but when my hubby had it it was the 14 days for him and D (because he is unvaccinated ) and then the rest of us isolation was 5 days with no symptoms and a negative Covid test because we are vaccinated
