Oh Jet I meant to tell you think you for the insight on the plane crash...I just was wondering.

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Yep, feeling like you "have" to get somewhere can put you in a lot of danger. I think that had a part in Kobe's death. I know I have made some really DUMB "got to get there" decisions....luckly all turned out okay, but boy when I look back I see just how stupid and dangerous some of those decisions were

Well, in an airplane, you have to be especially vigilant because the outcomes can be so devastating.  Feeling pressure is not a good reason to do something you feel may not be right.  They say you should listen to the voice inside you.   I know one time, hubby started off in a helicopter from were we lived in CO to UT where he was supposed to do some work starting the next day.  The weather was iffy at best when he got the call.  Went out and preflighted the airplane, took off, and about an hour later showed up at home!  He said the weather was closing in and he just wasn’t going to take the chance…especially in the dark and it was winter!!  So lots to consider…and safety is always the first consideration.

That is true...that little voice inside you is there for a reason.

Yup—-and if it is just that you are unsure of your own skills or ability, it is important to take heed.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Yep it is, I do it when I am cooking and when the others are home.  When I am by myself I don't wear it all the time.  Thank goodness it is cooler.

UGH......that has GOT TO BE so hard to wear one when you are cooking........talk about hot and uncomforable.

Hate it and with asthma it is even worse.

I bet......HUGS

Oh WOW........he has some good common sense there......me, I probably would have push on.........so glad your hubby made a good decision that night, you never know what could have happened.

Well…having spent two years in VN making life and death decisions for himself and his crew under hostile circumstances probably made him more willing to turn around!  Headline could have been:  Helicopter pilot found dead in freezing temps in the mountains of CO when the rotors iced up!!

Well hubby is out of quarantine on Thursday if he continues to be like he is now.  I guess if I ever get my test back and it is ok then I think I still have to stay wearing a mask till Monday that is 14 days. unless I have a negative test.

April what did you have to do when you family had Covid...How was your quarantine?

it was 14 days when D had it....but when my hubby had it it was the 14 days for him and D (because he is unvaccinated )  and then the rest of us isolation was 5 days with no symptoms and a negative Covid test because we are vaccinated

It’s hard to know what to do or believe!!  So many mixed signals!!!

yep.....we're still friends with all of our BMT nurses so I mostly listen to them more than the "officials"....LOL
