I totally understand what you're saying, CEK.  Have to agree that he doesn't look particularly relaxed, comfortable in these pictures with DB.  It will be interesting to see what happens at the DWMLA studio opening on the 10th.  That is, if Maks is there.  But he tweeted before that 'we' will there, didn't he?  Personally, I can well imagine that DB isn't a problem at all to Meryl if they have the trusting relationship we see them capable of.  I can picture them on Skype daily like at Hawaii times, as was established by the tumblr girls. 
We know now that Meryl had at least three public appearances during this Italy trip and so it would seem out of the question that she was ever going to come along.    
I also think that Maks is on a mission to make it financially fast and in a big way now that he has retired from TV pro dancing, presumably to put himself in a position to live the private life that he wants.  We know that Meryl herself is very driven and so she will be able to relate to this goal easily.  
We will see whether DB is the woman on his side, once they return to the US.  She has more instagram followers than Maks and so we would find out about it, I assume.  
In a way, I think it has become more interesting now and the scenario is more likely to reveal itself to us sooner.  I was almost ready for the long haul until at least the Chrstmas Disson show.
In a way, I hope the bikini girl episode makes Meryl come out more in public to 'stake her claim', if that's where they are at.

I agree with your comments. So far, the pics I've seen show Maks appearing to be quite uncomfortable and feeling awkward by the advances of Bikini Babe. So we shall see..... Just think of how many women HE has kissed on the cheek--just on dwts!!! Part of his whole persona--and I'm sure Meryl knows that too. IF he is going to act in a "love story" movie, can we expect there will be no kisses??!! Not a thought I like to entertain; however.....what can we expect? I know there SHOULD be a difference, but many movie "relationships" become more than that.

ummm...speaking of kissing bandit Maks.....the pics he's been in since the season ended, with women he was rumored to be with or BWAT pics with friends and co workers.....has he kissed ANYONE...on the cheek?????...ummmm....isn't that in itself unusual for him????.....am i just missing something???....the pics I've seen he's there, it's definitely him but they to me anyway come across as well....for lack of a better way to describe it....like when they do these life-sized cardboard cut outs of celebs smiling so fans can pose with them....you know it looks like the fan is doing all the contact initiating....ummmmm ....just curious and was wondering if there are pics that look like Maks is the one doing the initiating????  anyone know????

Just poppin' in between the day's activities. Going to a family baby shower shortly so need to get ready.

While running around I had these couple thoughts: Things are never quite as they seem to be. When I saw that Maks was in the front window of Cantamessa, it reminded me that he is actually a model himself! Why would we not expect to see him photographed with anyone else?? There are plenty of photos---candid as well as posed--that could be released at any time. To maintain and/or enhance his image, he needs to be extremely careful to be both respectful and maintain appropriate deportment. If we take Maks at his word and he wants his private life private, he would 1) not take Meryl with him on this trip in all likelihood as that would violate how own vow of privacy while also blowing up the internet (!) and 2) why would he take Bikini Babe and flaunt her as a date even if MnM are on hiatus??? I'm not suggesting that this could not be the case, but IF he wants to keep his private life private, would he really take the person he is romantic with because there will be all sorts of pics that could be taken that he doesn't know about--and they could then be put out there for the world to see. This is another reason I have to question why Maks would take up with a blogger who puts stuff out there on the internet as a profession!! Maks is street wise and NOT dumb! Just my 2 cents for now.....

April--you are too much!! Might could be Maks!!!! LOL Height looks about right, hair, and jacket color (gotta get rid of that barber shop jacket!!). Couldn't tell if it had the stripes on it, tho. Interesting also that that song was chosen by Meryl for her 17 year journey with Charlie--but it became about her and Maks by the time the dance was choreographed!!! Kinda weird......but it would make sense he was taping it to send her. You should get extra credit for the Sleuthing class!! HAHA

LOL...i've been spending alot of time in Maksology apparently!!!LOL
