DWTS Reveals â90s Night, Possible Double Elimination Week
Dancing With the Starsâ has a week coming up where it is airing two episodes, which we suspect might be the first of season 30âs two double elimination weeks. Also, one of the professional dancers has revealed that an upcoming week is going to be â90s night. Hereâs what we know about these weeks so far.
According to the âDancing With the Starsâ fantasy game at ESPN, there are two episodes airing in week five, on October 11 and October 12. This is confirmed by the showâs TV listings, which have revealed that Monday, October 11 is âDisney Week: Heroes Nightâ and Tuesday, October 12 is âDisney Week: Villains Night.âWe are speculating that this could be a double elimination week because the show is going to have to have two double eliminations at some point in order to keep the pace up for the finale to air on Monday, November 22. If âDancing With the Starsâ didnât have two double eliminations, there would be six dancers headed into the season 30 finale.
We suspect this year will look a lot like season 29. November 2, 2020 was supposed to be a double elimination week, but because Jeannie Mai had to withdraw due to an illness, the show only eliminated one pair that week so that two pairs were out of the competition. Then during the semi-finals, two more celebrities were sent home, leaving four for the finale.
So, the Disney Heroes and Disney Villains week may be the first double elimination â one person going home during each episode. That would be something different for this season.
Actor Martin Kove and pro Britt Stewart were the first pair eliminated from season 30, with another one coming up in week four during Britney Spears night. This season feels like an especially competitive field, so there may be some shocking eliminations along the way to the finale.
In an Instagram story, professional dancer Sharna Burgess revealed that the show is planning a â90s Night for one of its themes.âSo, we are looking at â90s songs for â90s week. Fingers crossed we make it that far. ⊠we have a â90s week coming up at some point in the season. I hope Iâm supposed to share that with you. If not, too late,â said Burgess with a laugh. âWe are gonna put a poll up on here with some of the songs weâre looking at and I want to know which one you think is your favorite and you like most.âIn the poll, Sharna listed three songs:

âDWTSâ Predictions: Which Season 30 Pair Will Be Eliminated After Disney Nights? The first unexpected elimination of âDancing With the Starsâ Season 30 has already come and gone, with Christine Chiu and Pasha Pashkov leaving the competition despite praise from the judges. Now, with a double dose of Disney Night magic facing the remaining competitors, someone else could find themselves leaving the competition.
Week four of the competition will see the remaining 13 teams tackling two routines for the first time, for a special two nights of competition on the ABC series to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World. Teams will perform both a Disney âHeroesâ and âVillainsâ routine over two nights of competition, and while a little fairy dust from Tinkerbell has worked to keep teams from being eliminated in the past, someone could still go home before the two nights of dancing are over.
While stars like Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy, Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten and Jojo Siwa and Jenna Johnson, who had the top scores of the night in Week 3 are likely to be safe, four other teams could see the Disney magic not work in their favor.
While scores for week 4 and viewer votes still need to be factored in prior to the next elimination and could change things, there are definite signs that one of these pairs may be rumbaing for the last time.
After both were diagnosed with COVID-19 and forced to compete remotely in their individual homes, Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke found themselves unexpectedly at the bottom of the judgesâ leaderboard at the end of Britney night, only earning 18 points for their Jazz routine. However, with the pair expected to return to the ballroom for their Jive and Viennese Waltz after being cleared by doctors, itâs unlikely theyâll remain in that position, meaning they should be safe to continue dancing another week.

When it comes to scores, two other teams have yet to really wow the judges, making some slight improvements, but otherwise failing to catch up to the remaining competitors. Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess, as adorable as they are, arenât really giving the judges what they need in terms of technique, and while they may have a strong fanbase rooting for them, they may find themselves in the Bottom Two sooner than expected. However, following their upcoming Waltz and Paso Doble, they should still be safe.
Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach could also be at risk. While he did improve so far and the judges have noted the work he has put in, Iman is still lagging behind the rest of the pack. If his Foxtrot and Argentine Tango both fail to give him a breakout performance, he could be the one to go.

However, if a Disney week elimination does occur, the team that could be most at risk could be as shocking as Christine and Pasha. #TeamBling was eliminated when they landed in the Bottom Two for the second week in a row, but the other team that was with them wasnât one who was scoring lower than them on average. On the contrary, Kenya Moore and Brandon Armstrong have also received praise from the judges throughout the competition, but if she doesnât have fans voting for her and she winds up in that position again, depending on who else winds up there with her, the âReal Housewives of Atlantaâ star could be hanging up her dance shoes after her Contemporary and Viennese Waltz Routines.
