I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship. Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Meryl

His faith made the recovery possible. He talked about how he always had a Bible on the seat next to him in the patrol car. When he had a break would park under a tree with coffee and read it. He became a clergyman later in life. But he wasn’t able to go back to the PD due to PTSD so they retired him.Oh wow......what a testimony ....wow
Yes, it stuck with me! Later on he moved up to Boise where his family moved and started a ministry in the prison with drug abusers. It was quite successful.
He sounds like he was a wonderful guy.

What you saw was what you got so hoity toity people had some difficulty with him. But I like up front people who just who are who they are.
