C is doing better on meds and was able to go home....but Little E is still on the vent and critical.....its still touch and go for her.....she has a broken neck, brain injury causing seizures, damage to her liver and kidneys and lungs .....its not good and she has a long road to full recovery.....her mom has 2 broken veterbre and knee she will be in the hospital for a while too...and their 6 yr old son who was in the car is physically ok but has some emotional traumas he's dealing with....all because some one chose to drink and drive....its been a rough week ....these are some of our best friends
OMG!! That is horrible….and so unnecessary. So very sad that everyone will have lingering memories as well as aches and pains, PTSD, and no telling what else. Will continue to pray for them all….especially Little E..🙏🙏
Second this post......
Glad that C is doing well and is home. Will she need to be on Meds for the rest of her life?
Were the Drs able to stop E's seziures?
yes C probably will need meds for the foreseeable future at least....and the seizure stop for a while and then come back....the swelling in her head has gone down and they are hoping that the seizures will fully subside since they have slowed since the swelling went down.....it makes me so angry that this innocent baby and her family are going through this all because some one chose to drive drunk.....I mean it was totally preventable....sorry....don't mean to rant...this has just been bringing back a lot of painful memories for me this week....but this......well.......one Uber ride could have prevented this family from going through this and this baby is going to have such a long road to full recovery , ya know

True. I miss the days of Toys R Us.
I miss that too. Plus the fact that it isn't like it use to be we all just get what we want when we want it. My DIL and I was talking about that today. Plus they have started Christmas this year at Halloween and there have been Black Friday Sales since then too.

I can't even image what the family is going through...Such a terrible result someone's stupidity. I remember telling my 2 when they were drinking age that no matter what time of the night or day it was that if they had only one drink to call us and we would come and get them. Don't ever get behind the wheel of a car or in the care with someone driving that has been drinking.
AMEN!!!

You have every right to be upset, April…..this should never have happened. It is painful just to think of what they are going through….and how they will have to cope going forward. Just pray for justice and also that God will give them strength to deal with all of it. Life is not fair.

Totally agree with you. I hope they throw the book at the person, although, that usually doesn't stop them. UGH.. Have you heard that the new cars are going to put something in it that you have to breathe in it (to make sure you haven't been drinking) before the car will start? I don't know how many years away that is and it will not help with the older cars, but thought I would mention it.

And I am sure the traffic isn't that much fun at time already without the addition of the new Disney compound coming.
