Vmm.....how is your sister or brother doing with the news?  Are they really worried having such young children, especially a preemie?

They seemed a bit worried. I felt horrible, and the stress of having to drive home mostly in the dark made it worse.

Is the weather snowy too

LOL!!! now, now.......you were just taking it easy until the big "turkey" day.....LOL  I am sure you will be doing more helping then explaining how to make the dinner.....LOL

Oh, I am creating a recipe book for her so she will have something tangible for when she might want to do it herself!  He wanted her to learn to make a traditional TG dinner.  I felt honored that he asked me to do that!  This “kid”” (now 43!) spent everything TG and Christmas with us during their college years….and was here once or twice during the summer also.  They are such fun!

How nice of you to do that for them.  I am sure that they will love the recipe book  AND that must be pretty flattering that he asked you to help her.....your food must have really made an impression on him. LOL

I think mine is the only homemade food he had when he was a studen!!  LOL. Just seems that the recipe book will be something I can add to from time to time.  I am going over to their house with my “necessities” tomorrow and Wed. So we can cook together.  We will do the baking on Wed.  Have some pumpkins to bake for pies.  Let the boys get involved in that if they want to!!

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. The great thing is that kids 0-20 are generally immune or are asymptomatic.  My 2 little nieces in AZ got it a few weeks back.  Fever for 12 hours and the only reason their mom knew they had it was the younger one said food tasted weird!!

Hubby just had sinus issues and a fever for less than 24 hours. No other symptoms.

And he was vaccinated, right?  That’s the part that bothers me.  Get the vax and get covid!  I don’t remember getting polio from the vaccine!

Yes he was.  I know what you mean.  Or Small Pox.  I never got the measles vaccines cause they didn’t have them or the one for Chicken Pox but I had them so do we as older adults have to get those vaccines since they don’t seem to think the immunity for COVID is valid.  We are the only country from what I read that does not accept natural immunity as immunity.

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Glad that you made it home okay.  Yes, the stress and then having to drive a distance is terrible.  Hopefully, the parents worry and concern will be for nothing.....then again, parents are always worried and concerned about "their babies" no matter what. LOL

That’s the hard part about this whole Covid thing.....so many things all have the same symptoms

My SIL had what turned out to be a head/sinus cold, which is very typical for her, but she went for a covid test.  It was negative.  Sad we have to get covid tests when you just get a stuffy nose.

My DIL and daughter in FL want me to do a recipe book of my go to recipes.  I really should do it.
