Thank you all for such warm welcomes! I'm not too savvy with this..and am unsure of how to respond so that it will read correctly....my posts are standing alone...should be more in conversation mode, but I don't know how to do it

Don't worry. It took all of us a while to catch on. Others more tech savvy than I can help you with an avatar (picture) and other stuff.
Yeah Carrie's good at that...she helped alot of us learn how to do that
Neenay, I know exactly what you are talking about because it happens to me all the time. I get on the board maybe a couple of hours after most of the others, so when I respond to something that has been said it was awhile ago. Eventually, the others will get my response, but they may have signed off already by the time I catch up to them. So, if you want to talk conversationally, it is best to scroll down to see where people are, note the time, and then jump in. The disadvantage is you may not realize exactly what they have been talking about. To complicate things, we are in different time zones -- not all of us, but I am in CST whereas others live on the east or west coast. Others may have a better explanation for you, but I hope this helps.

Well things are quiet on Tumblr and twitter this morning...thank goodness!!!
The only thing that I am sorry for is all the bad talking and name calling to both Maks and Devin...neigher one of them deserve and then the people tweet this stuff to Meryl and Maks and the "family"...I think this is totally uncalled for, hurtful and very inmature...
Take a step back and remember how upset we were on the ABC board with the name calling...it just isn't right and thank goodness we have not stooped that low...we are a positive group even when there doesn't seem to be anything positive
Ok I am gonna leave for a bit...going to clean my laundry room for the arrival of my new "fancy very basic" washer and dryer...YAY now it won't take me three cycles to dry a load of clothes...I can see my electric meter just spinning everytime I turn the old dryer on....
Have a good Sunday and I will check back in later and see everyone tonight...
HUGS

You know, that is exactly right, April. And it is very hard to think that others can shore you up when you have been the one others have depended on your whole life. It is a cross to bear, really.don't get me wrong i don't think he's any kind of toutured soul or any thing....i just think after awhile that kind of negativity would get to anyone
I also don't think Maks is a tortured soul but i do think he takes his role in the family very seriously--and he often uses the words "a lot of responsibility", which shows that he lives it. I admire that--and it is very grounding.
I agree jet...his family is very important and he takes a lot of responsibility for them on his self I do believe...he is a provider and as meryl says very giving and nuturing...and with his parents he is as you say very grounded...what we see of him and what his family sees of him is two totally different people I am sure...

Hey Annie! No, I wasn't aware of nene's alter-ego- LOL! Neenay is what little ones in my family have called me, because they couldn't say my name - it stuck!
I love it -- are these your grandchildren? I have often thought of making a list of the names that grandparents are called.
In an interview with Billy Bush of Access Hollywood, Maks told him of the different names he and Kirstie Alley called each other. One of the names that Maks called her was "G". Billy said, "Why did you call her that" and Maks said that it stood for Grandma! LOL
No grandchildren just yet, Annie - I have one son who just recently graduated from college - so, I'm still waiting! I think it's safe to say they'll call me Neenay when they arrive!!and yes, I had heard that Maks called Kirstie "G" .....hysterical!!!
Funny how you become whatever they call you. Our first 4 grandkids are all close in age. The (lone) grandson (#3) tagged me DiDi when he was just beginning to try to talk (about 1+yrs.). I think what came out after he heard my husband call me by my first name--but it stuck and I love it because it is different. In your case, you already have the name and can call yourself that to the grandchildren, which works too!! LOL

I finished watching Dirty Dancing today -- didn't see it when it came out in 1987, if you can believe that -- and I'm going to contact Kenny Ortega about a remake using Maks and Meryl. I did a little research and found that Patrick Swayze was 35 when he did the film and Jennifer Grey was 27! So, the ages fit, and I think we need a remake just so M&M will have a project together! I can't wait to see it. I think the acting would be great. Of course, I have to cast the other parts too -- forget about a casting director.
Go, Annie! You have quite a career ahead of you as an author of romantic novels--called MnM Serendipitous Romance Novels!!! LOL
