UGH!!!!!!!!  Just read an article on this.  It is so sad as I think she really is one of the best skaters, but with all of the drugs in her system ALL of her award winning skates are now "worthless" to me.  IMO  It is so sad.........and I feel very sorry for the other Ladies out there putting their best efforts to perform clean.  BTW......I do not trust the Valieve's coaches one bit and it wouldn't surprise me if the other ones taught by her had drugs....they just didn't test positive for them......UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Meryl Davis and Charlie White: The Next Chapter

I have had a few days to think and let my "anger" soften as well as read a few more articles on things.  All I can say is that this whole situation is heartbreaking.   After seeing all that has went down on and off the ice, I feel for Valieva.  She is still a child and I have no doubt that the adults in her life had her "under their thumb" so to speak.  I haven't seen the performance, but know the result.  I really hope that she finds someone that will help her pick up the pieces as she has been shattered in so many ways.  It is really a shame what has been done to this girl and to the sport of skating and for the Olympics.  To have all of this happen on the biggest International stage is just so heartbreaking.  She may or may not have known what was going into her body, but in the end, I am putting all of the blame on the adults in her life.  I hope that she can find some kind of joy going forward, but I think it may be a long journey.  UGH....

Booky, since you follow skating thoroughly, what are your and the others in the skating communities opinions?

I think it is a very sad thing to happen to her and to the sport.  I feel for all involved.
