I heard that the airport in Kharson’s is now under Russian control.

Where is Kharson???  is that in Ukraine?????

I think it is Kharkiv….2nd largest city in Ukraine….20+ miles northwest of Kyiv.

Ok thanks ......I pray it all goes well for Maks and for the Ukraine people as a whole

I am really impressed with the spoken English skills of many of the Ukrainians who have been on the TV.  They are articulate and give a good description of what is happening and where they are (not giving location, tho).

My daughter has students in her ESL class that are from the Ukraine right now.

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

I know.....its scary the journey and they say only women and children are being allowed to leave ....men are being made to stay and fight....I wonder if Maks will be different since is isn't an Ukraine citizen any more

Maybe, that is why he was "arrested" they thought he should be out fighting???  Is he a duo citizen???  I know that he must have used his US passport in some fashion to get out.

I don't think so.....I believe he is just an American now ......I wondered if he got in trouble for the video's he's been posting

I dont think so, it kind of sounded like he was around some reporters so getting info out would be okay.  I did hear though that Russia was some how going to try and stop all of the phone service and such.

I know I feel the same way.  I just can't believe this is going on, it is just terrible.

Wow..............  I saw pictures on the news of some trains filled with people trying to get out.

I can't even imagine.....I'm still not really clear on why Russia is doing this in the first place

It is a crazy man at the helm in Russia…that’s about the only explanation.

thats what I thought but didn't know if I missed something

There are a lot of those all over the country and the world!  Sooo glad that people are finally supporting freedom and independence.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. I am so amazed at the way the Ukrainian people are coming together and fighting back in a true David and Goliath situation
