Oh I do have something positive to report. Kaleb was on the middle school wrestling team this season and he was undefeated going into the city tournament. In the tournament he won his first two matches but lost in the finals so he placed 2nd in the city in his weight class of 98 pounds. Huge accomplishment for him with his first year wrestling.
That is awesome.......way to go Kaleb!!!!!

We are hanging in there. Some good news, though: D2 has a job already. She will be working in my hometown! One less thing to worry about. She needs a place to live and a car. My parents would of course love her to stay with them, but that's not her plan, lol.Congrats to D2!!! How far away is that from where you live?? Can’t say I blame her for wanting to have her own life!! I remember that after college. You just really turn the corner during that time and it is time to stat out on her own. She’s been doing that for 4 years so she is ready!!
#1 granddaughter is going to Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in the fall. She is very excited! Has her dorm room selected and her roommate already!Congratulations to #1 granddaughter Jet.

Well, all of that kind of sounds like on the "good side" of things.It does for that. Now he is dealing with high ammonia in his blood. He has been having trouble with his memory he said it got worse after his heart surgery so they did a CT of his head it was normal but the blood work showed high ammonia levels so he started on a new med and they took him off two of his others. He had it rechecked a week ago and it was higher. Not sure what will happen now. The doctor was waiting for the stress test. I do know that two much ammonia can be bad for you.
I didn't even know we had ammonia in us ....wow
Urine contains ammonia.
I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship. Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Meryl

Oh goodness .....those yearly tests....I procrastinate too...lolYes hubby was suppose to have his in October but he was just getting over COVID and then got his finger in the table saw!!!
Oh, yes….I remember! That was quite the sequence of events!! How is he doing since then with both?? Oh—Covid can cause memory issues also. I think they usually clear up, but….I’ve heard that.
Thanks for asking Jet. It was a sequence of events on top of the heart surgery in April....As of now they don't think it is COVID related and he does not appear to have any effects that we can tell. As for this thumb, it has healed the best it will he still has trouble picking things up with that thumb and it has spots that are still numb. The nail is a mess and that will not get any better.
Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

She is graduating in May, so yes, it's a career job!
Hard to believe she is already finishing up college...lol....wow
