does it effect your quilting????Fortunately not…it sorta just drags along!! There is no pain now and really no lack of mobility. The chip at the top of the finger was from playing volleyball!!!
do you think you had broken it and just didn't realize it????
No…I don’t think so. It got pretty swollen for about 10 days but as soon as the swelling started to go down the pain was much less. There are no lumps or bumps like where the bone chip is…and both of the lower knuckles work fine. I think I got lucky!!!

Yes, but little finger is a problem. I have a bone chip from when I was about 20 in the first knuckle so it is kinda bent, and last year I tripped over the dog, caught myself in a door jamb and the lower two knuckles hurt like crazy for quite a while. I can finally straighten the finger (but not the tip due to the bone chip. So the little finger can be a problem!! I can use it for typing and all other activities but I spent a lot of time while it was healing straightening it so as to try to prevent arthritis getting too bad. I think I won that battle reasonably well.OUCH!!!! Glad that you still have good movement in your fingers.
When I hit the door jamb, it was just a split second reaction to the trip on the dog. I went from whatever the walking pace was to a dead stop!! Glad I sacrificed the finger and didn’t hit my head or face. Could have been a lot worse.
Ok soooooo......why am I picturing similarities to tripping on pipes in hangers.....hmmmmmmmmmm

Ok I am back...sorry for the delay, but Pabst is blind now and deaf and he needs to know that I am near him all the time.
Is he totally blind and deaf now?
Not totally but it is close. If he can't find me he will stare at the chair in the den or the office where I sit and whine or cry looking for me. I think he can see shadows and he hears certain sounds especially high pitched noises. I feel so bad for him but he seems to deal with it pretty good. He doesn't run into things and can go up and down the steps
