I would agree they would. I hate when the power goes out. I am really considering getting a generator.Me too. I have looked into them, but I get confused. LOL.....and some can be very expensive.
We live about half a block from the fire dept so we’re on an electric grid with them so our power usually gets turned back on in one of the first groups….LOL
We are on a grid with a little shopping center that has Food Lion, McDonalds, Wendy’s, an ABC store and a few other along with Dunkin Donuts. So they try to get the power back on as soon a possible.

April..........when will you be leaving for Jax?
About 6 in the morning….LOL….gotta beat rush hour traffic out of Otown….LOLTomorrow? Is the hurricane suppose to hit tomorrow or Wednesday? I missed the news tonight..
Yep, always best to beat the traffic out of town.
Down here we’re supposed to be getting winds by tomorrow night…but I also like to go a day early so I can avoid traffic jams ….and school is canceled so might as well

Glad you had one. It sounds like it was a life saver during the ice storm. Did you have to move it from appliance to appliance or could it run several at the same time?It can't run the whole house, but it can run several things. We have to flip breakers on and off. We also have septic, so we need electricity to flush the toilet and run water.
Does it plug into your breaker box? I have seen those too, but you have to have a special hook up for that.
I forget how it works, honestly, lol. My husband set it up.

Apparently last night.Oh dear, so a lot of people could have been exposed.
I agree…I hate this COVID stuff. You just don’t know who or where anyone has it.

We have a small one that we got in case Y2k got messy. It didn't, but we lost power for 10 days in 2008 when we had an ice storm. It came in handy.

Oh that s right if you have septic. We are still looking into getting one, not sure how big of one we can afford.

I can entertain myself with regular old fashioned books….LOL….but they want electronics
I agree I like real books. I have a hard time reading on the iPad
And the bonus is they don’t need electricity….lol
