Re: New Season, New Channel, New Era, DWTS 2022

Hello Sisters!

Hope everyone is well.  I followed your exchange about the recent hurricane.  April, I saw the photos of flooding. Wow!  So much work to be done now....

We also had very heavy rainfalls.  One of my neighbours has a creek directly passing by the corner of their house.   The run off is partly from the hillside I live on.  Feeling so bad when the water heads straight over to them and does damage.  I have revegetated our hillside as much as possible.  Topsoil is much deeper now and holds more water, but just not enough for the heaviest of rainfalls I have seen in a good many years.

I don't have a Disney Plus subscription.  When the show is on for you, it Tuesday morning here and I have to take my little-tall guy to equine-assisted social skills group where I stay with him.  We then go home, I fix lunch for him and take him to school for one-and-half hours in the afternoon, for which I also wait around away from home.  I don't have a mobile phone plan to watch away from home - we only have unlimited internet for the house.  So, I couldn't follow the show in real time.   I have had a look around at youtube and found a channel where someone put up videos that where obviously filmed from their TV set.  Awful quality without packages.  CEK, have you found something better to catch up with the dances?

We have school holidays atm and my eldest spent last week here.  It was the first time in almost three years that we have seen him face-to-face.  It took 14-hours of driving plus breaks, one-way.   He doesn't like to fly.....

My little-tall guy got his learner driver's permit on his 16th birthday last year.  He has lessons with a driving instructor, but we have to clock up 75 hours of driving in total, so I have to take him out in the automatic car that I bought for this purpose (I drive a manual myself, but that complicates matters further for a learner).  So, I have been white-knuckling it with one hand on the handbrake and ready to reach over and grab the steering wheel.  It's not good for my blood pressure!!!  I am still trying to get my head around parents teaching their children on public roads....  In Germany, you are exclusively out with a proper instructor in a dual-control vehicle until you are a full licence holder.  I'm much more in favour of parents not being asked to teach how to drive....

Hope you are all well.
