    Hi Luv! No problems where me and my family live. The icy conditions occurred around the Austin area where Annie lives. Many have been without power for several days now, but Annie was not affected, thank goodness. She said there is talk about the city manager possibly losing his job over the handling of the storm. I can't imagine what it must be like for all those people who haven't had electricity for days. I'm keeping them in my prayers.

    By the way, Val posted a picture of mother and child on his Instagram account and it's absolutely precious. I posted the pic on the other thread.
     

    I am so glad that you didn't have any issues with the storm and very thankful that Annie didn't lose electricity.  It is amazing how much we depend on the simplest items. lol

    Thanks for posting that picture of Rome....not sure how I feel about the name.....but didn't they get engaged in Rome???  I can't remember, if so......then the name is perfect. LOL!!!  Anyway, thanks again for the picture, that one is different then the one I saw.

    OH.......btw.....have you seen Gabriele over on the skating forum?  She has been "missing" for some time, so I was curious if she had popped over there.

    Like they say, “It’s the simple things in life that matter most.” No truer words! 

    It’s so funny what you said about Rome as I basically said the same things to Annie. She asked me what I thought about the name and I said I wasn’t sure what to think of it. I then went on to say that I wondered if Val and Jenna had traveled to Rome and loved it so much, they decided to name their son after it.  We had a twinning moment there. Haha

    As for Gabriele, I’ve never seen her post anything on the skating boards, at least not under that name. If she uses another screen name, I’m not aware of it. I sure hope she and her sons are doing well. Hopefully she’ll pop on one of these days to let us know.
