I have been keeping track of our national artistic swimming team. They are at Worlds and trying to make the Olympics for the first time since 2008, I believe. I am also into the Super Bowl hype. I don't usually watch when the Patriots aren't in it, but I am invested.
Oh how neat. I hope they make it. It would be nice to have someone we "know" to root for. LOL!!!!!
Who do you want to win the SB Chiefs or 49's?D2 and I knew a girl on the 2020 team that just missed qualifying as a team. But she got to go for duet. (She is not the one who passed out--that was her duet partner.) D2 used to compete against her. There is a girl on this team who is from our region, too, but she is a couple years younger than D2. I remember her name (Ruby Remati), but we didn't know her like we knew Lindi.
That is so cool. I think it would be so neat to know someone or have a group you know of go to the Olympics. I love watching the Olympics. Wish they would show more of the sports instead of just a few.

Has anyone seen the movie “The Boys in the Boat?” I havne’ seen the movie but I read the book, which was FABULOUS! Very well researched and an amazing story about a random team of rowers at University of Washington who had never been to even the east coast when they tried out for the team….and they managed to beat the German team in an amazing race….and won the gold medal in 1936. I didn’t run out to see the movie because I heard they didn’t really tell all the interesting stuff that went on prior to the Olympics. I highly recommend the book….and I might see the movie on TV!!
