LOL I LOVE this!! It's for sure me<G>. I'd just about given up even on a friendship.
...yes, I don't understand why the "fam" or especially Maks doesn't do more on Meryl's SM or send out congrats/vote for her noms. I understand them going silent right after the win when things got a little wacky, but it has been months now and even IF you are JUST friends, you post "something" on SM. So, glad that you told us that Maks FINALLY did. LOL
Still thinking that there is personal contact between them--either way. Funny how much SM posts are supposed to mean! Hey--I have no idea what most of them are meant to say!!! LOL
Hopefully "surprises" are over with these two. I have to admit that I feel a lot better about Maks when I hear him speak vs. just seeing pics of him with a random "note" that may or may not have anything to do with anything!!!
Hope you're all having sweet dreams after a good day on the Maksyl. This whole SM business is very intriguing for the ones of us who have grown learning a social code that is face-to-face, ear-to-ear or at least exclusive to the two people who are communicating. Recently, I had a bit of a talk with my eldest, 22 yr old one about Facebook which I've had for 4 years. It had to do with me trying to get my head around some of the things people see fit to post. My eldest said, "... but Mum, social medial has nothing to do with real life, don't worry about anything there....". Of course he isn't necessarily representative for his age group. Just thought, I share for the ones amongst us who don't have generation Y's in the family.

Can we talk about the octopus jewelry for a second?? Seriously, this is some of the worst jewelry I have ever seen in my life!! Who buys this stuff??? For thousands of dollars???????????
You crack me up with your jewellery analysis.
Hard not to throw my 2 cents worth in with this one. I was doing a BA in visual arts, part-time before we started on the part-homeschooling. Really needed something to balance the accounting. . I did the equivalent of a full-time year in jewellery (that's how we spell it) design and making. And yes, the octopus is cringeworthy in my opinion and only marginally better than the 'teddybear' pendants we saw the other day. The Star of David with a 'twist' is the easiest (relatively) for me to look at. I haven't been on their website, but drawing heavily on 'fauna' by the looks of it. All the pieces I've seen look like an attempt to fit as many diamonds (?) as possible onto a square inch of surface. I only ever seen that as frowned upon in art circles. Is ostentatious the word here?

LOL...think we'll see octopus jewelry pop up on Meryl soon????
Well, the way Maks was all over her, you got the impression, he had about 8 arms or so. In a good way, of course.

I have absolutely no clue unless it's more of a European thing. Even when I lived in NYC and went to some fancy things (because of dad's job), I never saw stuff like this jewelry line. If it was costume, then I could see people buying it for fun. I checked prices and we are talking 20-50K!!! It's unreal.Good Grief?? That is way too much money, especially for an octopus. LOL You know, I hate to say it, but I don't think this jewelry line is going to last. It just doesn't have the draw for people that can pay that price or for those of us who can't. I mean.......as you said......who would want to buy that even if it was dirt cheap?
Not sure what this particular ring costs, that was just the range for everything I saw. The write-ups say this line has been around for a long time. I wonder what the story is and how Maks got involved with them.
Yes that would be interesting to know. I think I saw somewhere that he lived in Italy for a year or so. Is that correct?

Was going to take my 9 year old to our annual agricultural show tomorrow. News just broke that today a 8 year old girl was flung of a show ride and died. Sadest thing. The show continues minus this particular ride..... We won't be going. Hope I somehow succeed to explain this situation to my boy - not easy because of the autism.
Soon good morning to you and good night to us. See you all next time.

Gooooooooood Friday Morning to you all...quiet night again last night I see...
Well we are suppose to have RAIN all weekend long...*rolling eyes* (we really need one of those faces)
So maybe I will put the weather to good use and clean house....or not but first today I was awakend quiet early this morning by my daughter informing me that the fridge door had been left open all night long (door alarm wasn't on) and it was 60+ degrees in there sooooooooo everything had to go and now I will make a much hated trip to the grocery store to restock. But on a positive note, my fridge is nice and sparkling clean!!!
So I see everyone thinks Maks, Serge, and Alex need to seek fashion help from Tim Gunn and Maks needs to make an appointment for a barber/stylist ASAP!!!
Gabriele the pic of the two boy...funny...but a tad bit familar to someone else...LOL and thanks for keeping Maksyl World nice and calm while we got our "beauty sleep"...and so sorry about the show...very sad!!!
Everyone keep your fingers crossed I am expecting to get the results of my granddoggies path reports today...he is doing very well and his new name is "Frankenwinnie" because he has so many staples in his side and tummy!!!
Ok since it was so quiet I will talk a walk over to tumblr to see what is happening...won't be there long have to get ready to go to the store before it rains...

Just quickly..... View got red-inked by the abc board and had to change her id to get back on. She thinks she might loose posting abilities altogether. Being the nightwatch, I have thrown out a safety line in the form of my golden skate id. I remember from previous posts here that she would know how to come here and be welcomed, right?

Good morning CEK. Still enjoying a nightcap here, but it has to be the last one. Lucky its weekend. Hope path comes back benign for your doggie. He seems to have been through enough already in his 5 years.
