How fun.  I never had a prom we had  "Junior/Senior Banquets.......lol

We never had proms either at boarding school!  The dances were awkward and we were assigned an “escort” from the military academy 40 miles away!!  I was not amused, nor did I find it fun!!!  We were required to go!!  The boys came to our school!!

Oh my….LOL…that would be awkward 😬…. Did the match ups ever “click” for the long run….lol

HAHA!!  It was awkward during an awkward time of our lives!!  I had brothers so didn’t have any interest in boys at that point!!!  LOL. I don’t think anyone ever clicked because it was a different guy every dance (maybe there were 2 dances a year…maybe only 1??)!!!

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Oh, yes….and A has just blossomed in HS!!  Doing well academically, playing sports (sometime to her dismay (mom makes them do a sport after school!!), and just growing socially.  The ADHD seems to be “learning up” (not the right words!) so school is clicking for her, which makes life in general much better.

WHOO HOO..........that is great to hear.

She sends us these love notes from her phone quite often.  She sent one recently that just made me SOB!!  It was soooo sweet, full of great memories of things we have done with them, places we have gone, how much she loved us….I’m choking up just writing about it!!  Very sweet….it made our day!!

AWE...........that is so sweet......it even made me tear up reading about it.

Yeah and her mom was only 67 ….this is the sis in law that adopted the girls so KK is traveling from Arkansas with her hubby and the baby too

WOW.........that is YOUNG.......so sorry for the family.  Did KK get to know her?  I mean, the distance, it could have been a bit hard to do.  It is nice that she is traveling up to support everyone.  Does she call your SIL "mom" ?

Yes to both….her mom lived in Jax but was originally from NC and wanted to be buried there….she’s been in the kids lives basically since my bro and SIL got married when Niecey was 10

Will this be the first time bro and SIL have “met” baby??  If so, that is always a joyous time….despite the sorrow of the loss.  So sorry for your whole family.  It is never easy.

Isn’t it amazing how grown up they can look when they’re dressed up??

So that is the mother of your SIL in Jax, married to your bro, with baby (not any more!) B??  She was the other grandma to the 4 kids, right?  So happy KK is able to come home for the services.  Important to have closure.

YOU DESERVE A TROPHY!!!!!!!!! You figured out my family and got it right first try…LOL😂🤣

But seriously thanks and you’re right it will be good for them to have that closure

You should make a printed copy and frame it.

That is wonderful that she was such a big part of her daughter/Son-law and Grand children's lives.  It sounds like you and your family were close to her too.

Yes we were…. ….we’ve all known it was coming….shes been in hospice for awhile but it’s still emotional especially for my sis in law

No…. I didn’t see that.  Is it on this thread?  How is her son doing?  I’m sure she has worked very hard to get him thru school.  One of my brothers was had dyslexia in an era when no one really knew what it was….and he struggled in school but compensated with his other senses.  Ultimately, after he went into the Navy at 17, he found computers (in their infancy then) very helpful because he could NOT SPELL worth sour apples and it also helped him read better because he was a gadget man and liked the techy aspects.  The Navy was really good for him…so he stayed for 26+ years and did well.
