Getting Ready for Season 33

Just thought I would come on and start a new thread for the upcoming season of DWTS.  I have been absent for a while with lots of doctor appointments but hopefully have gotten most of them behind me.  I have truly missed chatting with all the sisters. I am so looking forward to the new season coming and just taking the time to chat with everyone again.  So I have one piece of news that I will post that I found.

Also if you get a chance Booky has a new thread and is posting about the Olympics.  I am glad because I haven't watched the first event.

Take care and have a good rest of your summer because it won't be long before the new season starts.

HUGS to you all!

Re: Getting Ready for Season 33

Hello Sisters.  Well Season 33 is almost here. I found this bit of information about the first show.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 33 Premiere Song Lineup Announced

“Dancing with the Stars” is the hit series co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough in which celebrities are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough.

The season premiere will feature a stellar opening number to “Set My Heart On Fire (I’m Alive x And The Beat Goes On)” by Majestic, The Jammin Kid & Céline Dion, choreographed by Jamal Sims.

For their first performance, the celebrity and pro duos are set to perform dances, including the Tango, Cha Cha, Salsa, Foxtrot and Jive.

The couples (along with their dance styles and songs) are the following:

Super Bowl Champion Danny Amendola and pro Witney Carson will perform a Tango to “A Bar Song (Tipsy) [Remix]” by Shaboozey & David Guetta.

Fashionista and entrepreneur Anna Delvey and pro Ezra Sosa will perform a Cha Cha to “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter.

“The Bachelor” Joey Graziadei and pro Jenna Johnson will perform a Cha Cha to “Dancin’ In The Country” by Tyler Hubbard.

NBA Champion Dwight Howard and pro Daniella Karagach will perform a Salsa to “This Is How We Do It” by Montell Jordan.

TV star Chandler Kinney and pro Brandon Armstrong will perform a Tango to “HOT TO GO!” by Chappell Roan.

Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher and pro Alan Bersten will perform a Cha Cha to “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” by Shania Twain.

Model and cover girl Brooks Nader and pro Gleb Savchenko will perform a Tango to “Piece of Me” by Britney Spears.

Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and pro Rylee Arnold will perform a Jive to “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen.

Reality royalty Phaedra Parks and pro Val Chmerkovskiy will perform a Cha Cha to “I’m Every Woman” by Whitney Houston.

Movie star Eric Roberts and pro Britt Stewart will perform a Cha Cha to “Old Time Rock and Roll” by Bob Seger.

TV icon Tori Spelling and pro Pasha Pashkov will perform a Foxtrot to “Trustfall” by P!nk.

“The Bachelorette” Jenn Tran and pro Sasha Farber will perform a Cha Cha to “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus.

Sitcom and movie actor Reginald VelJohnson and pro Emma Slater will perform a Salsa to “Motownphilly” by Boyz II Men.

Re: Getting Ready for Season 33

Dancing With the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd was involved in a frightening multi-car accident this week. Her husband, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, gave the play-by-play on social media, sharing the details of how Murgatroyd’s car got rear-ended.

On September 9, Maks Chmerkovskiy shared a video on his Instagram Story after his wife’s accident with the caption, “Well that just happened.” A shaken Murgatroyd was by his side, covering her mouth, saying, “I’m already crying.”

Chmerkovskiy turned the camera toward the street and narrated what happened, showing a black car that smashed into Murgatroyd’s car. “This is our car. This is somebody’s car that smashed into our car,” he explained. That wasn’t the full extent of the accident, however.

He panned over to another car across the street near him, then another car on the road, and explained, “This is somebody’s car that smashed into this car that smashed into our car, that smashed into the front.”

Chmerkovskiy confirmed that no one was injured. “So, Peta’s okay. Everybody’s fine.” When he asked Murgatroyd if she was okay, however, she said she has “some sort of whiplash.”

In the next video, the caption explained, “@petamurgatroyd is about to get minivanned, maybe. Just have to find the owner of the moldy Starbucks in the cupholder.”

Chmerkovskiy included a poll asking “Are we doing it?,” with an option for fans to vote for either “Absolutely!!!” or “Why you gotta do this to her?!?”

“So, I’m out here picking up a rental, ‘cause baby girl is in the shop and gonna be there for a while, seems like. But, I was thinking, to surprise the Mrs. with one of these bad boys,” he said, standing in front of a minivan. “Minivan. I mean, spacious, roomy car. The doors? They go sideways like Rolls Royce life or something like that, you know what I mean? We can make it a thing.”

Chmerkovskiy added, “It’s roomy. It’s spacious. What do you guys think? To minivan or not to minivan? That is the question.” The majority of his Instagram fans picked “Absolutely!!!” so they are in favor of the mom van life.

The couple recently announced their new project, which explained why Murgatroyd is not competing on Dancing With the Stars Season 33. They are filming a reality show called The Maks & Peta Show.

On September 6, Murgatroyd took to Instagram to shared the big news. “IT’S FINALLY HERE !!!!!!! You’ve asked for it, you got it! This is the most intimate look into our family life as we let cameras into our home,” she explained in the caption. “This is the MAKS & PETA Show and we cannot wait to share our family with you next Friday …but in the meantime here is a teaser of our season.”

Look for The Maks & Peta Show on YouTube, beginning September 13. It promises some friends showing up, so we’re sure some famous DWTS faces will drop by.

On September 10, Murgatroyd shared a new trailer for the show on Instagram. “We can’t wait for the premiere of ‘The Maks and Peta Show’ this Friday on our YouTube channel!!! Please click on the link in our bio’s to subscribe (ITS FREE!) 😝😝😝 The fun is about to begin! XO.”

In the clip, the DWTS pro talks about needing to move into a new house from their “small apartment,” explaining, “There is a laundry list of stuff to do” while she’s pregnant.

Chmerkovskiy provides a reality check, saying, “We’re in a three bedroom apartment in Malibu. These bougie kids are not going to live…oh my god,” he joked.”

Re: Getting Ready for Season 33

Hi Everyone, I have posted the chart. It looks like most of us say Anna is a gonner, or is it hope?  LOL  I guess, we will see how it goes.  I will be doing double duty tonight as I will be watching the AGT final and trying to keep up in the chat. I may miss some things so be my eyes. lol.  I will stay logged on, but don't worry if I am not much of a chatter.  I am with you in spirit......will just see how it goes tonight. Who knows, I may watch more DWTS than AGT. lol

Friendship is a priceless gift that can't be bought or sold, its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold.
May this FriendSHIP always have wind in its sails and a sunrise on the horizon.

Thank you for the new thread, CEK…and interesting updates on Maks and Peta!  With little kids, a minivan is a great ride!

Thanks, Luv, for organizing our game!!  Purely random guesses tonite!!!  Should be fun to see how how it pans out!  Need to feed the pooch real quick…be right back.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Meryl
We fell in love, but our way. Maks
