Re: Getting Ready for Season 33

Good nite, Everyone!
(((HUGS))))

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Meryl
We fell in love, but our way. Maks

Friendship is a priceless gift that can't be bought or sold, its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold.
May this FriendSHIP always have wind in its sails and a sunrise on the horizon.

Tonight was a GREAT night.  The show was very good.  I kind of like the "theme" nights. LOL

I think I will pop out and finish up the chart.  See you all in a couple of weeks.  APRIL.......not sure if the Masked Singer will be on tomorrow or not.  The world Series is going on, but I am not sure of the schedule or if the Dodgers will win tonight.

Next 3 games are in NY, Luv.  IF the Dodgers don’t win 4 games by then, they come back to LA for the last two.  Usually one day of travel between coasts (I think)

Thanks Jet,  Are you following or watching the series?  I am.  I knew it was a must win for the Yankees, but wasn't sure if they would travel back to CA for game 5....that is if they win tonight. LOL  Thanks for the info.

Re: Getting Ready for Season 33

By the sounds of it, it was a spectacular show!!

My guesses were out by a mile, but at least I'm not on my own.  *lol*

Wondering, if the elimination had to do with people being over the showmancing.....
But with Rylee having 1.2 mio Tiktok followers, while Sasha has 60k, if it was likely to come down to this.  I briefly looked around  Reddit, Instagram ect.  It's become such a social media game with people taking out 100, 200+ email addresses on which to vote 10x..  Hopefully production won't drop pros whose social media game is weaker, but not holding my breath that we'll see much more of the pros who seem to have been bypassed by the trend.....

I'm not too mad for Jenn/Sasha winning the dance off with a more traditional dance - that's how Len would have seen it, wouldn't he?

Re: Getting Ready for Season 33

What dances will the Dancing With the Stars contestants perform for the 500th episode?Because the show is taking a trip down memory lane, here's a sneak peek at how the contestants will honor competitors of the past with their upcoming dances:

  • Danny Amendola and Witney Carson will perform a Quickstep inspired by Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough’s dance in season 5.

  • Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson will perform a Contemporary inspired by Riker Lynch and Allison Holker’s dance in season 20.

  • Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach will perform an Argentine Tango inspired by James Hinchliffe and Sharna Burgess' dance in season 23.

  • Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong will perform an Argentine Tango, inspired by Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough’s dance in season 16.

  • Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten will perform a Quickstep inspired by Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold’s dance in season 25.

  • Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold will perform a Viennese Waltz inspired by Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas’ dance in season 31.

Are there any twists for the Dancing With the Stars 500th episode?Along with the season 33 cast paying homage to contestants of seasons past with their individual dances, Dancing With the Stars is also implementing a unique way for the couples to think on their feet. After all the competitors have performed individually, they will all compete in what the show calls the "Instant Dance Challenge." What does this entail, you ask? This will have the couples learning what style and song they will all perform to just five minutes before they hit the dance floor. Meaning: the couples will have to be prepared to do any dance that may be in the cards for this round! What's more, judge Carrie Ann Inaba teased what fans may expect from this segment when she appeared on Good Morning America on November 4."The contestants are going to dance like a memorable dance from the past, an iconic dance, which is kind of cool," she said at the time. "Recreate one of those dances. And then there's an instant dance round. Five minutes, they're going to be judged on. Five minutes, we tell them the dance, the style, and they have to go change in wardrobe and get back out and dance. We're going to see a WHOLE different side of everybody."

Re: Getting Ready for Season 33

Well I think they should have included this dance...It is probably my favorite from all the seasons since 2014 when I started watching.

Re: Getting Ready for Season 33

Good evening everyone!
I'll be in and out this morning.  We have our very own special day today!  My son is sitting for his last exam today.  This concludes his schooling and will end just about in time with the end of today's 500th show.  It will feel strange to finally not have a kid at school anymore, but about time in the 60s, isn't it....?  Will try to catch up between dropping him off and picking him up after the milestone event.  Enjoy the show.  I'm sure to catch up with your show time musings in the thread.

Re: Getting Ready for Season 33

.... Just adding.  I've seen the 500th show reels on socials.  By the looks of it, Maks doesn't exist at all in the highlights....   Thoughts?  Val is there briefly as a trophy winner
