    Thanks, Luv….it is what it is.  He will be 59 December 8 if he is still around then.   Not a thing anyone can do for him.  His heart is 3 times larger than it should be….

    59.....that is young.

    It is young.  It is a genetic thing….his dad and uncle both died of the same thing but a bit later in life.  There is now a test for it and drugs that can retard the progression of it, but he didn’t get tested early enough.

    I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer.     yep....they said next week is a three hour show with a duet by Derek and Mark and Sochi and Val will dance again as reigning champs

    Oh, that makes it even sadder......did they have the test at an early time, or did the test come out later and it had progressed too far?
