OH, MAN!!!  Does THAT look trashy or what??  Shouldn't beat up Maks and Val after seeing that!!!  LOL

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Well--today the song said he didn't want (or mean?) to fall in love--but maybe he now recognizes what that is and how it feels--and that it ain't going away by just wishin'!!! Did it really take this long for him to figure it out???

Humm,  maybe he didn't trust his feelings for Meryl? or really understand them.  He knew he loved her.......but what kind of love?   He did have a "relationship" with Erin after her season. Maybe, he was afraid that it was a "summer romance" ?  I know that he never wants to hurt Meryl in anyway, so maybe, he was taking his time to really figure out what he wanted?  Jet,  you sure posed a good question.

I think you are right, Luv; I think they both may have kinda taken a break to figure out what was lastingly "real" and what might have been a showmance of sorts. He wasn't long with Erin, tho--and never had anything close with her to what he has/had with Meryl. I know he recognized that as well based on what he has said. I'm sure his head has been swimming....and that's a good thing, really. I know he won't want to get into another engagement that might fall apart. That would be too hurtful and cause him to distrust himself. So these months that have seemed like years (!) LOL.....have been very important, I"m sure. We are just impatient!!!

I can''t imagine how he must feels...

yeah....i'm surprised about that too....and when they did the cast announcements on GMA....Derek didn't seem like his normally cheerful talkative self......hmmmmm.....

Also, have you noticed that Mark is never smiling anymore.  When the camera cuts to him, he looks miserable!!

I have notice that too. Last season, he looked like he couldn't wait to get voted off and sometimes, had a bad look towards anything Meryl or Maks did.  He was not happy at all.  His singing is going no where and I think he is burnt out on dancing.

Mark is still mad that Meryl wasn't his partner last season. You know: 1) cranky because he didn't get Meryl, 2) crankier because he got Candace, 3) crankiest because Candace kept staying on. (which meant he still had to work with her)

I'm sure it involves a lot of soul searching.  He's been with a lot of women over the years--and quite a few live in relationships but they've all gone "poof".  I think he is a bit A.D.D. with that stuff so if boredom sets in it's over.  So he didn't have the chemistry with any of the others with the possible exception of Karina.

LOL.  That we are.   However, I really believe that if their "relationship" is going to last, it is good for them to take things slow.  They have already had a lot to deal with in such a short amount of time.  Rumors, distance, schedules., break ups (fed-ex).....ect.  I think it is wise to "get your head on straight" so to speak before heading into something that must have been a shock to them.  It was a whirlwind couple of months with feelings so strong that they even came across the TV.....lol.   Finding out what those feelings really were (for them) may have taken some time..........even if the whole world could see it. LOL

Friendship is a priceless gift that can't be bought or sold, its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold.
May this FriendSHIP always have wind in its sails and a sunrise on the horizon.
