This is just crazy to me, too, when you think about it. One year ago yesterday...They had not won the Gold Medal yet, they had not appeared on DWTS, we didn't know much about Meryl, Charlie, their friends, family, personalities, etc. Let alone the fam as it pertains to the Chmerkovskiys. We had no idea who We (each other) were. What is a message board? What's a fangirl, a Showmance, what's fleek mean, subtweeting?
Yikes.

Have a great Saturday everyone! Going to enjoy my sisters visit today but they are leaving a day early because winter storm Marcus will be visiting their part of NY tomorrow and Monday
But we had a great time yesterday and we will enjoy today too, I am grateful for any time we have together. Now we have to get through this punk rock concert! Wish us luck!!!

Oh, annie, you had me falling off my chair, too.
I keep thinking that poor Val and WearValentin...who is it exactly who's buying his cool, hip, Street Couture items!!?? Isn't it mostly young fangirls and old middle-aged ladies?
The cachet is not there anymore, is it? Might as well say Grandma's SwaygAnd that logo almost looks like a swastika!
I hope it didn't sound like I am criticizing his line...I'm not. Or that I wouldn't buy an item or two myself...I'm going to (the beanie). But I do think his target audience has changed. And this new, soft pink, limited addition "50 shades of Valentine"? Yeah, that's not for some street tough, is it. But they'll sell out fast, imo.
I wasn't trying to criticize it either, and I agree that they will sell out fast.

The Idea of Loving a Man Like You
[size=100]I searched for you
In every room I placed foot in,
As one who searches for a treasure.
I inhaled life every second
I felt your eyes grace me,
As if a tiny addiction
Was building within;
As if one look from you
Would suffice
To keep a single ounce
Of hope alive,
Or my need to believe
There are no coincidences
To those who believe in destiny.
In fact, I have embraced the reality
That I am completely enamored
By the idea of loving a man like you.

Just wanted to add that Cody Simpson is the musical guest in this one. Meryl looks beautiful in that pic!

I believe you're right about Val's target audience, view. And regarding Annie's comment about the logo resembling a swastika: When Meryl posted a pic of that logo on her Instagram, someone posted that same comment to her.

Before I get too busy this afternoon, let me post a couple things of interest I noticed here and there:
I am getting excited all over again for this (heartbreak subsiding) - what I think is going to be a great cover. News this morning from Janel via twitter.

It's the birthday of Little House on the Prairie series of books - Laura Ingalls Wilder. Born 148 years ago. Everyone loved her stories, didn't they. I perhaps had a special affection for them growing up on the prairie of North Dakota. And my grandfather lived not too far from the Plum Creek location - in Canby MN

I have the feeling that ...age, maturity, (?) seeing many of their friends get married - engaged - starting a family...has fostered a feeling of "maybe it's time" in a few of these young men. (And not so young - Maks)
But I'm thinking of Alex:
And Serge's tweet to Peta to (forget the koala bear) bring him back a gf.
I was hoping the same might be said about Val. "I don't need another notch, Need a bae, my anchor" etc.
And especially traveling in tandem (I surely don't think Alfonso and family are on the tour bus) with and spending so much time with little AJ. Must show them how a wife and children enhance the life you have....don't necessarily have to change it, or diminish your career.
Hope so.
Catch you later.
