I would say too that he has it over Maks in the looks department.  The recent picture is the one of him and Meryl on Christmas Day amongst Meryl's family.  Would you agree that it is him, Booky?  Coming from someone within the family circle, I think we can assume it is authentic.  I watched the links, Booky.  He comes off as likable.  Not sure what makes people hate on him so much.  Perhaps that he dated a number of his Mum's female students.  They were in his age group at least.  Definitely not as off-putting as when coaches date younger female skaters.  He wore a cross around his neck - Christmas would mean something to him.  And he is welcome to spend this special day with the Davis' family. That  is the most significant clue we have, imo - it is third party evidence that wasn't intended for the wider public - just another shot for the family album.  That's what makes it so compelling for me.  

 
Hello Gabriele, hope you and your little guy are doing well.  About that Christmas picture...I'm 100% sure it's Fedor.  The only thing I'm not certain about is when that pic was taken.  Some of the tumblrs said it was from 2013 but I have to admit, it looked very recent to me.  But, if Meryl is back together with Fedor like some people believe, why hasn't there been any sightings of Meryl with a tall, handsome man that isn't Maks?  I can't figure out why Meryl's uncle would post that pic of the two of them, but I don't think it should be assumed they're together based on one picture.

Like you, I don't understand why people hate on Fedor either.  I've read all the rumors about him but I don't know that there's any truth to them.  Before he dated Meryl, Tanith Belbin was the only confirmed relationship he had as far as his mother's students go.  He also coaches her students, so naturally he's going to be friendly with them.  And if we judge him based on a few pictures he's taken with other women, then what do we make of Maks who can't seem to keep his name out of the tabloids?

The other thing that was noted at the time is that there were no Fedor "sightings" in Lake Placid right after Christmas and through the New Year's weekend when Meryl was there.  This was posted by one or more people with skating and knowledge of Lake Placid so they would have recognized them....assuming that is credible info, of course.
