Well, Thomas Aquinas left a long legacy of profundity--and Meryl likes him!!! LOL
What follows after "believing" that may have been omitted?!thats a good question ........hmmmmmmmm........
The whole quote is as follows:
We can't have full knowledge all at once. We must start by believing; then afterwards we may be led on to master the evidence for ourselves.
Thomas Aquinas
thanks Eastcoast wow ....that is a powerful quote and very true

Friends of ours in CO just got their first...in a way 2nd...grandchild yesterday. Their daughter, an only child, lost her first baby at 5 mos. gestation due to a complete placental abruption. She got pregnant again right away and had a boy yesterday at 30 weeks 3 days. He was 3# 3oz. and looks healthy enough. Don't know the details yet. Wasn't due till April. Hope that he will be fine. Just reminds us how fragile life is.
The other part of that family story is that our friends, the grandparents, lost a full-term son 21 hours after birth. To this day no explanation as to cause of death. Just stopped breathing. The new baby's middle name is the same as the brother/son who died.
I'm always reminded how uncertain life is....that we take so much for granted.Oh wow ......thats an amazing story and I will keep the baby in prayer.........congratulations to your friends on his birth alot of babies born at that size do well as they grow .......keep us posted on his progress
Awww....thanks for the Winnie the Pooh quote! That is so right! I will keep us posted. It must just be a bit spooky for the grandparents to have lost a child and then the first grandchild--then this one being born early. One of my friends had her last two (of 4) 7 and 8 weeks early---28 and 35 years ago when medicine wasn't as advanced as today and they are fine. The smallest one is 6' 4"---and was by 9th grade!!
Oh wow ......that's a big guy .....LOL.....I have a friend from highschool who was just shy of 2 lbs when she was born and you would never know it to meet her now
