You have a storm coming? We got hit this weekend. Today it's just really cold. There was another 2 hour delay because of the cold. (Next week is vacation week, so they don't get today off.)
Yep we have snow suppose to start around 4pm the changing to freezing rain late night early Tuesday morning...it is freezing here 21 right now... And it should stay freezing all week long...
So far we haven't had any snow days this year but in am sure they will have one tomorrow...Hey CEK, I will trade you your freezing rain for the 5-8 inches of snow we are expecting between this afternoon and tomorrow morning.
Heck the are saying we could get 4 to 6 inches before the freezing rain starts....

Hi Everyone,
CEK & EClong, I tried to join you this morning in your chat, but my computer was wacko. lol It is cold here (below freezing) but the sun is out and there is no wind, so that makes it a pretty nice day. I hope you do not get much ice, I hate ice worse then snow. Keep warm you two and all of the other sisters in the line of the storm.
I am getting really excited for Castle tonight.....can't wait to see what happens and if that really is Tyson. lol.

East coast ....how is the weather in your neck of the woods??? My daughter in Reston is not looking forward to snow and ice....
I just got home and sure enough there is light snow falling. I live within a mile or so of Reston so what they get, we get too. No ice though, at least not yet. there is supposed to be less than one inch of snow for this evening and then 5-8 inches of snow by morning. And of course, I had a hair appointent tomorrow morning that I will have to reschedule. This weather is sooooo inconvenient.

Just poppin in really quick...It has started to snow here in VA...woo hoo (not)
I got a call from the doctor in regards to my test from last week...it goes like this....
In my upper back no fractures just some arthritis (no joke)
In my lower back some arthritis and the fracture from last April has apparently gotten worse from then till now...
My blood test...slight anemia and my cholesterol is a bit high (really thank you heridity)
everthing else is ok...
He wanted to put me on medication for osteoprosis but I in April I didn't have osteoprosis only osteopenia (pre-osteoprosis) I am taking 3000 IU of Vitamin D and calcium and multi-vitamin...I eat pretty good veggies and dairy...
He had told me to see a chiropractor but with the results the way they are I want to see a Spine Specialist and not a chiropractor at this point...
So there you have it...I sent hubby to the hospital to get copies of all these test so that I can have the results for myself....
Well, I will try to be back in a bit...tonight is a busy TV night....Castle Part 2 and The Bachelor Part 2 as well...I also watch NCIS Los Angeles but not sure I will tonight but it is being recorded.....

There is one thing about my house that I hate and that is the electric heat. I grew up with gas heat and it is so much better than electric. Hard to keep warm once the temperature dips below 32 degrees.
We have a wood burning fireplace but rarely use it. We uesd to use it alot when the kids were here but no so much now.
We rarely lose power (our lines are underground) so that is a good thing. I think next winer I am going to have to bite the bullet and migrate to a warmer climate for part of the winter.

Hey, CEK......I agree that you should see a specialist. Don't think I would go the chiropractor route at this point!! Please take it easy and stay warm!! We're bracing for more snow right now and my daughter is supposed to fly home from Charleston tomorrow morning!! Enough with this winter b.s. already!! xoxoxoxoxo

That is a smart idea in getting your files.......your hubby is a keeper for going out in the snowy weather.......lol I would think going to a chiropractor would be a bad idea at this point too. Surprised that the Dr advised you to go to one. I think you are one wise women in going to see a Spine Specialist before anything else.
Yay for Castle tonight. Sisters....for all that watch....I would love your opinions on what you thought of the show.

Brr....I would think electric heat would not be very warm. Is there a reason you don't have gas? (regulations or something?) Cool, buried lines. Our lines are in the air. One winter, we got so much ice that it brought down the lines all over town (along with trees). Some people had to get an electrian to come out and re-string lines and put up some safety thing that goes into the house. That was a bad winter. Power out for days for some. I hope that all of the sisters in the storm stay warm and don't lose power.
