Hallelujah, I'm on. In order not to forget that this is MCM I will make a picture my first post, a picture of Eddie Redmayne from the movie, "The Good Shepherd." He had then and has now one of the most vulnerable faces I remember. At times, I would even use the phrase, "hauntingly innocent." II have yet to see "The Theory of Everything." But Meryl went to see it last week or the week before. Yes, I couldn't get on this message board, I couldn't access You Tube, I often couldn't get into my email, but I was able to get on tumblr most of the time. Go figure! I will be back later to post about the 2nd Beloved Community Potluck Dinner.

What I heard was that Gronk declined but that Malcolm Butler was considering doing the show. Gronk is injury-prone, so I think that was why he couldn't do it. We finally have him healthy, and he didn't want to risk another injury. So, we'll have to see what happens.

well that makes sense ..........so we don't know about Butler yet???????

CEK and View, I agree with all of your comments about the Oscars last night. For me, this was the most enjoyable Oscars show I've ever seen. They really moved things along nicely which I appreciated. That performance from Gaga was amazing and to see Julie Andrews walk out on stage made the moment so special...so emotional. And how about that performance from John Legend, singing Glory from the movie, Selma! It was so powerful!

Yes, that's possible Annie. And if it turns out to be true, it's also possible she approached the show's producers about doing the show. It's also possible that she requested Val as her partner, having met him through Janel. I don't know much about Rumor, but I do know she's had some bit parts in movies, and hasn't made much of an impact in that regard. She may see DWTS as an opportunity to jump start her career. I think maybe coming from a family with Demi and Bruce for parents she has probably been taught how to put personal feelings aside to get the "job done" also Bruce and Demi have been divorced for years and remained friends and good co-parents and even Ashton has maintained a good relationship with them all after he and Demi's divorce........so she has learned to be able to work through things like breakups and how to remain friends.....annnnnnnnnnndddddd.......she comes with not only Bruce and Demi's support and fan bases but Ashton and Mila's support and fan bases too......and Ashton's fan base is HUMONGOUS.....LOL....and if he and Mila show up in the audience to support her, which there is a good chance they will .....OMG.....LOL......the younger fans will go crazy.....LOL......she could be a perfect partner for Val.....LOL.....if she can just dance....LOL

I think 50% of it is the dancing and the other half is the connection the celeb makes with their partner that determines how they will do on this show. I have no doubt that Val will give it his all, no matter who his partner turns out to be. I also believe he will make it all about the dancing this time around. I think he learned his lesson last season and won't be making the same mistake twice.

I agree with what most of you have said. Val will do his best IF she turns out to be his partner; HOWEVER, I still think the producers did it to TRY and add drama or set up a "outburst". I don't trust the entertainment industry. LOL

I agree with you that TPTB did it to try to add drama.....but it may backfire on them.....LOL.....Rumor comes from the ultimate staying friends with the ex's family....LOL....if they are looking for drama from her on Janel's behalf, they may be looking for awhile....LOL
