I am excited too, I can't hate on Derek because he is the reason I continued watching the show at all.  I'm sure he and Nastia will do well.  I don't know anything about Rumer except she is the daughter of Bruce and Demi and not much else.  Maybe she and Val will be spectacular together, you never know. I doubt that Val will even chance a romantic relationship with Rumer, it just isn't him and after what happened last season, I am sure he will tow the line. As for Meryl, she will probably support both Val and her friend too. She did tell Nastia that she would come and see her.   
I was so hoping that Peta would get someone she could fall for and ride off into the sunset with.  Has anyone heard any further rumors about her and Maks?  I have not.
Suzanne Somers looks to be fit and maybe she and Tony have a chance this season, I hope so. Now can she dance, that is the question?

Hi East, haven't heard any rumors lately about Peta and Maks.  I did find out that James Maslowe attented that pre-Oscar party that Peta and the other pro dancers went to which I thought was kinda interesting.

Amazingly I know of 2 or 3 more of the celebs this season vs. S19!!!  LOL  Not sayin' much but....at least Tony may have some opportunity to choreograph something other than comedy with Suzanne Somers!!!  LOL  They'll look nice together and probably do ok. I may be his biggest fan, so I hope he sticks around for a while.

I'm just a bit disappointed that Derek has been brought back.  It smacks of nepotism, which is just a bit disgusting.  I'll get over it, but won't be able to really feel good about the politics that seem to be in play here.  I also read that one of the other celebs is a Hough cousin?  Anyone else hear that??   If that is a fact, what is up with THAT??    Are there really so few celebs to choose from??

No further apparent rumors about Maks and Peta that I know of.  I really believe that the Glamour article and their reunion pic spoke volumes.  Meryl is not someone who goes on record in an unscripted manner.  She was honest and forthright--and then finished the interview with Jessica Radloff saying something like "(a move to LA) is definitely on my radar.....just you wait, Jessica".  To me that is pretty definitive.  We know Meryl is a planner so this is not an impulse but something MnM must have been talking about for a while and are working out.  Bottom line: I don't think, personally, that Maks and Peta were ever an item after their split two years ago.  They are friends and pro partners but I think that is all.  Just my opinion.

After 19 seasons of hobbling faded celebrities through forcing them to perform complicated dance moves, then feeding them into the abattoir to make mediocre glue, Dancing With The Stars has announced that it has finally run out of stars. The ABC reality series revealed the cast for its 20th season this morning, a day that marked the first time in decades that Patti LaBelle and Suzanne Somers were considered “big gets.” The rest of the list is filled out with various athletes and Olympians, a model known for a single Carl’s Jr. ad, and Bruce Willis’ daughter. There is also the obnoxious guy from now-defunct party band LMFAO. No, the other one.

Here is the complete cast list, interspersed with some people we just made up. See if you can spot which ones! You can’t.

Noah Galloway: a double-amputee Iraqi War vet.

Robert Herjavec: a Canadian entrepreneur and Shark Tank judge.

Just found it amusing!!!!!!!  Lack of further story lines--aka loss of viewers--is generally what causes shows to finish their run!!!!
