This is Janel's last day on the islands. Last night ^^^ she ate French cuisine.
I don't know how we can exit quietly from the lives of our former OTP when they are tangled up in this messy web called "Performing with your ex's close friend who's performing with you ex's former ex". I have come to believe that Janel (who loves the warm weather - remember her snowman symbol for NYC) will not go to Chicago.

Sway has been hinting at some exciting cast announcements (but of course they would) And I have seen many tweets to them insisting they try to get Janel this time. I wonder if that is remotely possible. It is a paying gig. And maybe by that time things will be better between them.
And Alex is flying to Chicago tomorrow. Happy for Val.
Val and Rumer have a nice friendship in the making...have done well today on their promo appearances together.

Alex deleted his tweet of last evening about making a quick trip to Chicago.
I think....he may be going there to attend the FTR: Hughes performance with Val. I'm sure Val feels he must go to it - because of Rumer, and despite Payson. So that's one possibility. And/or
Alex may also be attending to some business - video, contracts, whatever - relating to SWAY.
And perhaps they just don't want all the Social Media feedback that comes with public tweeting.

There is some J and V news....J news, V news rather - not the two linked.
Val tweeted that he caught up with Steve Harvey today. Apparently he and Rumer will be on his show the week of March 16th. Says he will let us fans know more when he does as to actual date.
Tomorrow night is the first evening of the FTR: Hughes show. On one of the tv interviews the host stated that Rumer was there for the first part of the run, but would not be in the last few performances due to DWTS prep in LA. When they first flew to Chicago, Val tweeted that theyd be gone for 10 days. So that would have them flying back home on the 10th or 11th.
Meanwhile, Janel will be heading to colder climes after all. No, not Chicago, but NYC !!
A week or more ago, she tweeted how great it was to run into Jeffrey Todd at an audition. If you watch the Young and the Restless you know him as Tobias. Well, I guess they both got the part they tried out for, she tweeting today that she'll be filming for "Mysteries of Laura" the Debra Messing series. !! Yay!! And he tweeted in her replies.
Sounds like she could still be back in LA in time for the Premiere. Barely. I hope she does put in an appearance.
So no being with Payson on his birthday. No attending the show in Chicago. I'm kind of relieved.
I'll edit this to say, maybe she is flying to Chicago - and then on to New York. She says she'll be gone a week and a half...with shooting next week in the city. And only two days in LA before the cold weather. TWT (time will tell)

I'm just going to throw this out there...wonder if Alex in Chicago, and Janel hypothetically stopping in Chicago for a short while on her way to NYC...would give a SWAY deal with her a chance to be worked out.

Update: Been thinking while washing clothes...There's just a little too much that COULD continue to be read in to some of their SM shenanigans. IMO
So, last night Janel and her gf Sam watched the 2001 movie "Save the Last Dance" They both tweeted about it, loved it. And I got the idea that her comment was (possibly) an indirect response to their friend Rumer's tweet about watching/filming Val and b'ball.
And at the end of the day, JUST in time to catch Val and Alex out and about in Chicago (1:00 am)
....if they just happen to check her twitter)....is a reminder of how darn good she looks in a bikini.
Be that as it may.
What's been rolling around in my head since the tweet about the movie...is: What are tptb at DWTS going to do to make this the memorable Season we expect it to be...insofar as being a walk down memory lane for viewers and participants of the last 10 years/19 Season??
Will they be bringing back couples, dances, or just showing past videos? On a certain night will they pair up some of the favorites. What's Lizzie doing meeting with the director? etc.

This thrills me. I had no idea where Serge was at this particular time. Last time I saw a pic, he was on that beach.

I'm in nyc till my bro's bday which is March 13th! 
So he, at least, will be in New York during the week that Janel is shooting. They hit it off during her Season, and are quite close imo.
He has never un-followed her, nor has Alexander during all of this.
