Quoting myself...to add that this week is actually "My Jam Monday" which means the celeb chose their favorite song to "jam" to.

Had to come back for a minute...Dylan Chambers just tweeted this and says he's been laughing for 10 minutes. I can see why:

Sorry I missed everyone the past couple days. Hubby and I left for San Diego to babysit the grandkids at 6:30 this morning...got home about 9:15 tonite...but we had a simply GLORIOUS day! Simply magnificent weather, bright, clear skies, temps in the low 70's. Could not have asked for more!
Took the kids to Balboa Park...a really wonderful and historic place. We go there frequently to visit the (world famous) SD zoo, or take in some of the museums, or just listen to the pipe organ music (usually on weekends in the summer), watch a puppet show, or simply enjoy the walk through the park where there are the usual mimes, wanna be musicians, bird people, etc. providing entertainment! Today there was a man doing card tricks and magic in front of quite a number of people seated on the ground! What a way to make a few bucks!! Not sure it is particularly lucrative!!
Thought I would share a few photos (not mine).
This one is along the path/street between a couple of the museums.
This is the Spreckels pipe organ. There's a large open air amphitheater where you can sit and eat supper while listening to the concert on a summer's evening. One of my favorite places in the park! I just love pipe organ music!
Another of our other favorite things in the park is to enjoy the lily pads and look for fish and frogs in the reflecting pools when they are filled with lilies during summer. There is some milk weed next to the entrance to the botanical building (not shown) where we always look for caterpillars, chrysalises, and monarch butterflies. Today there were quite a few caterpillars of various sizes fattening themselves up on the milk weed (their only food source); we also saw a few monarchs flitting around, as well as a few chrysalises hanging from branches. Last time we actually saw a monarch emerging from its chrysalis.
In addition to walking about 3/4 of the length of the park, we toured the Air and Space Museum (where the kids pointed out the location where their mom and dad shared their first kiss!! It was under the SR-71 Blackbird on a stand on the front lawn of that museum!), then we had a look around the Automotive Museum. We finished up with the Natural History museum. Had enough culture for one day!!!
Thought I'd share something different. If you ever go to San Diego, definitely visit Balboa Park...there is a lot to love and enjoy there!
