Hi everyone it has been a busy couple of days here.....finally having some quiet times and I wanted to give you guys more of an update about what is going on.........after she had crashed on saturday she went into a state where she was not responding much at all.......she was unable to talk or move her arms or legs or sit up...... then later that day she came around and started talking and moving around pretty well but then the next morning she slipped back into it again.....and stayed there all through monday night and into tuesday morning.......her nuerologist really worried about the possibility of her slipping into a coma (I didn't know this until later).......she never did but came mighty close to it......Monday night as we were watching the show she seemed to be sleeping peacefully......then tuesday morning the nurses were doing their morning check on her, they had taken her blanket off of her and were examining her and she woke up and very slowly dragged out the word "trying"......we all started exclaining "she talked", then she slowly said "where's (and her brothers name)" ........I told her he was at home........she then slowly said "where's my blanket"......LOL.....(bless you for that blanket Jet)........they said it's right here and gave it to her........as this was going on people were swarmming into her room and checking her over.....she moved the hand she had not moved in a couple days put it on her blanket and quite clearly said "don't take my blanket"......LOL.....they started asking her questions trying to see how aware she was of where she was at and what she remembered.........they asked her what day it was and she said tuesday.....well they were saying how amazing it was she knew that being that she had been out of it since saturday pretty much and asked her how she knew and she said "the show was last night, it comes on mondays"......LOL.......guys she was aware that DWTS was on monday when we thought she was sleeping.....LOL....then when I logged on to tell you guys she was awake my mom said "who are you updating and I said my friends from the mb".....then a hand on the bed lifted in a wobbly wave in the midst of all the doctors and my daughter said "mom, tell them hi"......LOL.......well all day tuesday was a flurry of tests and different Doctors and her steadily getting better........she has amazed them all at how quickly she has come out of it......they expected it to be much slower......she has made it out of the ICU back onto the oncology floor......she is getting speech, physical and occupational therapy and is quickly progressing faster than expected........she will continue with therapy as an outpatient once we can go home and will continue to need to see the nuerologist for awhile........but they believe she will fully recover from this setback.........she still has a feeding tube but we are hopeful it will come out tomorrow........I don't have much quiet time since she woke up between helping her and them coming in to check on her so often and all the family and friends that have been in and out but I wanted to give you guys a better idea of what has been going on and to let you know how much you guys and DWTS have been a part of the last few days .........I will continue to update as I can and hopefully we will get to go home soon......she resumes chemo next week if she is strong enough.....it is going to be challenging for awhile adding the nuerology stuff onto the oncology stuff but we are staying strong and still holding your hands.......and just know that all of you and the support you have given me and her on here have apparently meant way more to her than we even knew.......and LOL.......we apparently gave her DWTS-itis
(((((hugs)))))
April, I'm so happy your dear daughter's condition has taken a turn for the better! I'm keeping up the prayers for her and still here holding your hand.

I'm posting this because it is remarkable - compared to the other contestants. In about 4 hours, Riker had over 3000 favorites to this tweet.
Others are lucky if they get 100 - 300. That's what I see on their similar DWTS tweets.
Whether these fans actually vote - who knows. But I truly have no gut feeling about the outcome of this season.
Interesting, View! Riker is turning out to be more popular than I thought, but those likes won't mean much if they don't translate to votes. This is going to be one heck of a semi-finals!

[quote888]MERYL AND MOM MAY 8, 2015
Long practice sessions, far away competitions, hours in a frosty rink … we believe our Brand Ambassador and Gold Medal ice dancer Meryl Davis when she shares this sweet sentiment about the most important woman in her life:
“When I think of my mom I think of unconditional love and support.”
The athlete plans to return the adoration with a Quilted Emma Satchel this Sunday. “My Mom always talks about mine so I’m super excited to give her one, too!” We think she’ll be pleased with that present.
