Here's an interesting morning picture. Photographer was on a huge salt lake in Bolivia.
I was thinking last night about the results show which I watched on dvr.
From observing his social media I can tell you Riker has a tremendous and enthusiastic following.
But think of the 30 MILLION ! viewers of that certain dance that Sharna and Noah did. I think military wounded, wives, patriots of all kinds are going to see that Noah wins this Golden Mirror Ball no matter what.
And I don't mind.
I'm with you all the way on Noah, View! He and Nastia have been my favorite celebs, so I guess I'll be throwing my full support to him now that Nastia is gone. Besides, I'd love nothing better than to see Sharna get a mirrorball trophy. She deserves one.
It's interesting to me that Riker has a huge following. When this season started, I would've bet money that Riker would not have made it this far, but good for him. He certainly has improved greatly. Wouldn't mind seeing him win as well.
Oh and that salt lake is amazing!

What I was saying is that I kind of hate to interject this negativity, but there is a lot of heat directed at Val for his "uninteresting" comment. I didn't think it was SO bad....but why say anything derogatory about your fellow contestants and pros??
Yes, why say anything derogatory when the whole point of the segment was to be complimentary towards your competitors. It's especially foolhardy when you know there's a chance your remarks might make it on the air!

Read from the bottom up...Val feeling he has to explain himself. I take him at his word....and really don't think I like the people in production at all. Not necessary for folks on the show to feel they can NEVER say or express what they're feeling. That any and all will be used against them, never in a good light. I remember that was Lea Thompson's complaint.
But Booky's right....Val's known the ins and outs of this Show for many, many seasons. He should know better than to say anything that can construed as criticism toward the others.

Good morning (at least it is still morning here on the west coast!)!!
Missed chatting last nite as RL interfered. It was 5 p.m. here when the show started for you all--and that was supper time more or less. By the time I was free everyone had left the MB and I still had to wait 2 hrs. to watch it!! Isn't is amazing how they can make what is really about a 5 minute elimination into an hour???!!! LOL
While I don't really have a dog in the hunt for the win this time, I wasn't upset that Nastia was eliminated. The DH drama gets tiresome every season. Nastia danced well and was gracious and lovely, as most OGM winners are. Just a little tired of the Hough influence that seems everywhere on the show this season from contestant, to judge, to pro.
If I were to want someone to win, it would be Noah for all that he and Sharna have accomplished to get to the finals (her best finish to date!). Just the sheer determination and genius they have shown have been incredible. He's not the best dancer, for sure, but he probably has the biggest heart....and that, to me, in this case is worth much more than just skill. I think they have the hearts of many in the audience and across the country as well.
It will be whatever it will be! Should be good--however it turns out.

This is an example of why it is better not to ring the bell in those moments. Better to leave things unsaid than try to unring the bell after the fact!!! It never seems quite sincere and it's just an exercise in futility. Damage is done.....

GREAT FIND, April!!!! This is awesome!! I love that Robert dresses as classily as Kym does. They both look like they are having fun and enjoying whatever they are doing. If it is real, I hope it works for them.
When do we board the ship?!!!! LOL

Hi Booky. I believe the whole point of the segment was to point out the other competitors strengths and weaknesses. It is my belief that Val was saying that Nastia and Derek were too perfect and that would be uninteresting to viewers because the viewers like drama and hardship. It was edited to sound like Val was saying that they were not interesting. We all know how this show can manipulate things to sound a certain way. Sad really.
