I had wondered if she was going to be happy leaving her job and moving to the farm
Very different if you've never lived that or experienced it with family or in your own life.are there any bigger cities around where his farm is that she might be able to commute too for work????
If he's a successful farmer, maybe she could deliver the calves and foals!!! LOL And grow the garden!!! LOL

HI all,
Thought I would see what is up on the bard tonight.
So the grandson has passed the swim test at the neighborhood pool so he is not required to be accompanied by his parents anymore. Apparently this is a big deal to him. He has gone twice with his friends and now he has told his mother that they (he and the friends) are planning to go on Saturdays (sans parents of course) and order pizza and "hang out". Hs mother reminded him that the whole family would be going to the pool so they would be there. He asked if they could not be with him while he is there. What the heck? I'm going to see him tomorrow and I am going to tell him that I am coming to the pool on Saturday and I'm going to sit with him and his friends. I wouldn't really but I feel compelled to tease him.
LOL......those teenage years are coming......LOL......can we borrow the pizza float for the pool on the Sharkaroo??????
Can we use it as a life raft if we need it?!!! LOL
LOL......suuuuuure.......but this is Roberts ship....LOL.....he can afford life boats

That is funny, EC!!! Is there a lifeguard at the pool? That is the one thing I would need to know (having been one myself!).
Funny that you will tease him about being there!!!! LOL
When my son was a freshman in HS and in the band, he immediately told me that he didn't want me to go on band trips and stuff with them. I told him I was going to go to help out--not to bother him and he could just ignore me. Didn't even have to let anyone know he knew me (although all his friends knew me!! LOL). So after a couple parades the told me, "It's ok, Mom, if you come on our trips." Guess I passed hte "smell test"!!!! LOLLOL......that is a cute story Jet......LOL
I doubt he remembers it, but I do because I was feelin' a little like...hmmmm....how's this gonna work out?!!! I was booster president, literally, for like 10 years (even after he graduated for some years!) so I went on most of the trips....and it was so much fun for both the kids and the adults!! The director is still a good friend....I think I've told you that before. The 4 of us (2 couples) get together frequently.

Four lifeguards at the pool. I realize that this is the time for that inevitable break but what he has to understand is that I'm not ready. After all, he still sits on my lap when I see him at my house or his. I doubt that his friends would appreciate that. It's amazing how many of the kids in this area don't have grandparents that live closeby. A lot of them live out of state and they only see them a couple of times a year. I guess I'm the unusual one.
Middle school in August...yikes!

How about part cooking show and part "truth or dare"???? A picture of p on the wall that contestants can throw darts at for prizes would be good.

Jet you qulaified as a cool mom, I have to laugh at these kids. My om never had the time to donate to school activities so I was always a little envious of the kids whose parents showed up.
