Re: Finally, THE FINALE

I'm enjoying the pictures...

I did read somewhere that the production was changed to accomodate Rumer and Meryl - additional pieces - and the person thought that didn't quite flow with the story of the 3rd Part.

Tango will have some thoughts.

Re: Finally, THE FINALE

Good afternoon everyone.  I know that most posts are about SWAY, but I am in a relflective mood and have found myself thinking a lot about how moving I found MnM's Viennese Waltz, a work of art.  No gimmicks.  No loudness or appeal to sexuality but simple and passionate and deep.  And so I, who am not an ice dance fan, want to share with all of you a gorgeous ice dance performance from the newly crowned world champions.  I "happened" to come across the video of their European win and was transfixed the way I was with MnM's Viennese Waltz.  I loved reading and listening to the comments made when they won the European championship.  I have not been able to find the video of the championship which also includes lots of comments about how these two skated a technically difficult program but did it with such ease and grace that the viewer misses the fact that this program is technically very difficult.  Not since Torvall and Dean's Bolero have I found an ice dance performance so moving.  I keep going back to watch it. First time in the history of ice dance that a couple who placed 13th in the world's last year catapulted to first place this year.  And I believe that this is the first time in the history of ice dance --if I heard correctly--that two such young skaters won.  So for the sheer beauty of performance and not because they are from my country, I share this.  Some of you have probably already seen it.  I do so wish that there were dances on DWTS or SWAY that lasted 3 or 4 minutes so that we could bask in their beauty even longer.  7:242015 World Figure Skating Championships. Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Re: Finally, THE FINALE

LOL, CEK...slow News Day.    Except for American Pharoah !  And Noah Galloway tweeted Congratulations about that.   No excuses.

And here's from Meryl as they get ready for last and #3 Sway Show...maybe in progress right now.
