GOOD SUNDAY EVENING, EVERYONE! Hope all is well with each of you. I see Cassidy is a grammy again! (BTW, that is what we called my mother's mother and our kids called my mother also!)
We are just back from the week in Las Vegas! Had a really great time with all the grandchildren (5) and our kids and spouses, and daughter's MIL. Stayed in a time share condo there with great swimming pool and water slides. Swam every day and even caught a break on the weather. Temps were only in the mid-90s which is kind've like a cold spell in LV in summer!!!! LOL Went to see the movie "Inside Out" one afternoon, spent an afternoon in CircusCircus at the new "Adventuredome"--a 3 story indoor amusement park type thing very similar to Knott's Berry Farm--then the kids played games on the mezzanine to win stuffed animals. We play as a family and help each other out till the kids get whatever it is they want. You can trade two small critters for the next size up--and two medium ones for a big one, if you want to--and if you win enough times! The games are very kid-friendly so it's pretty easy to win. Our son gave each of the kids $20.00 to play with...and for the most part they stuck to it--except for a few games the adults played to help them out!
Yesterday we went to the Children's Discovery Museum, which was fabulous! It was a pleasant surprise as we have some excellent kids' museums here--but this one pretty much incorporated the best aspects of others we've experienced.
Now it is great to be home! We are without visitors until Sunday or Monday when daughter and family return for the week. Will be having the two from SD from Tuesday till Friday as well...so the house will be full again!
We had fairly lousy wifi at the resort where we stayed and then there was limited time as I was busy some evenings making the grandson a Batman costume to wear to the DC Comic Con in SD on Sunday! I'll post a photo after this.
Has there been an update on April? Wondering how she and our niece are doing....anyone know??
