It's pretty bad up here for weather.  We've had it so dry and hot we have over 300 forest fires.  Over 13,000 people have been evacuated from their homes.   They are moving them to air force bases in other provinces so they have some type of accommodation.  They have brought in fire fighters from South Dakota, Mexico, Australia, and have over 650 from the army trying to battle them.  I know there are more places that have come here but at the moment I can't remember them. 
 

Oh my HRM...that is terrible...I hope things calm down soon...the fires aren't near you are they???

Holy Cow, that is a lot of people to find a place to stay for. Don't you have really cold winters too?
 

Yeah we sure do....usually each year we get a couple of weeks of 30 - 40 below but with it being a dry cold it's a little more bearable.

How about a story "thread" that way when someone comes on, they can add three words to it if they want to?  It would be a long/slow story.....so it is just a thought.

No they are all a long way from where I am but remember a week or so ago I was saying about Chateau Lake Louise being so beautiful....they had one fire that was our of control about 10 miles away from the Chateau but I believe they have that one under control now.
