Hi, CEK. It's View.
I am the one who, with 11,000 of my townspeople
were flooded.
You can watch this little video from Brian Williams. If I have time later today, I will comment on it, when it happened, how many feet, some pictures I have...
Wow.....I remember seeing this on the news but didn't know you were in it

Hello, ladies. I'm sorry the RL has kept me away for so long. I lurk occasionally, and I want to say to April, Cassidy, and anyone else who's having problems that I missed that I'm thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way.
It seems no more have I recovered from one Sway than it's time to think about the next. I am absolutely thrilled that Meryl will be part of it again. Seeing her and Maks dance is something truly magical, and I hope this means they will continue to do so for a long time to come, whatever the status of their personal friendship may be. I am also delighted MnM will be doing SWDOI again. It's only 3 hours from me, but I don't think I will go this time either. Too much time, money & distance for too little MnM.
Since Sway 3.0, I plunged right back into work again to prepare for the conference I organize each year, this one in Canada, which added a few extra complications. Then we were home for 3 days, and hubby and I flew to Europe where we are now. He had a conference, where we are now in Copenhagen. Then we are going to France for the rest of our vacation. I'm dreading the heat. It's not hotter than at home, but there's no AC. Our hotel here is clean and tidy, but the rooms (esp. bathroom/shower) are TINY. However, it has the most important things for 21st century travelers--free wifi and 2 plugs! When we each travel with a laptop, tablet and smart phone, not to mention various cameras, that is critical.
Anyway, I knew that Sway 4.0 tickets were going on pre-sale this week when I might be out of cell phone or even internet range (didn't know unitl I got here). So before I left I e-mailed Alex and Eugene and told them I wanted front seats again (at that point, I didn't know about all the rest), explaining why I would be difficult to reach.
So Friday afternoon, during our 8+ hour layover in Toronto, my cell phone rings with a NJ #. I almost didn't answer it, but decided it might be important. Boy, was it! It was Eugene calling me before I left the country (well, not quite) to tell me about some special offers in addition to Sway tickets to see what I wanted. I took everything he offered, although I almost had a heart attack at the total amount. But it includes so much that it's not really that outrageous and will be worth every cent.
So in addition to front pit seats for all 5 shows + the all-day dance camp on December 7 (post-Sway) that is advertised, I am also doing a pre-Sway DWM experience trip. I'm thinking this must just be offered to DWM students because I haven't seen it advertised anywhere. So this includes 5 days of 3 hours of workshops/seminars with Maks, Val & Tony plus I subscribed for 1 hour each of the 5 days of a private lesson. The private lessons say "with DWM instructors" but the workshops/seminars are with M,V,T. I'm thinking the lessons may be with other instructors who are in the show, but who knows?
So I'm going to literally dance my not-so-little feet off. I trained for the lessons I did during Sway 3.0, but I'll have to redouble my efforts for this. I am so excited still I could scream. And of course, you will get a blow-by-blow report!
You know that this is all about Maks for me. Then dancing. Then MnM. Then Val & Tony.
BTW, thanks CEK for posting the latest Sway video. Those are the perks/drawbacks of sitting in the front row, but I am thrilled they got me with Artem.
OMG!!!!! So excited for you Tango!!!!!! And class with M,V and T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Cassidy...How are thing with you??? Haven't heard from you in a few days...
HUGS my friend!!!!Hey guys......sorry that I have been MIA. Hubby had another stent put in his leg and this time he was in pain (you know what that's like...a man in pain, lol). Between work, taking care of him and helping out with the new baby and my older grandson...very little "me" time!! There is some concern over asymmetry in my new grandbaby's face, apparently head compressions during contractions may have caused this before they decided to do the c-section. The pediatrition in the hospital seemed to think it would take care of itself and the bones in his face would go back on there own without treatment. Well.......of course, the pediatritions office that my daughter uses showed more concern, and they will monitor him for a month, and then on to the neurologist. Needless to say.....my daughter is now beside herself with worry. I must say I miss the old days........before all of these tests, ignorance was bliss!! Btw......it is barely noticeable, but enough to be a red flag. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for the shout out View and CEK, and anyone else that I missed!! Hope to chat soon!!! April..........always on my mind!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
oh Cassidy......I will be praying for you and your family........hope your Hubby's leg gets better soon......and that things go well for your new grand baby.......and for your daughter as she takes care of her beautiful baby while recuperating from childbirth herself.....and for you my friend as you take care of everyone take care of yourself too OK....nsmd....(((hugs)))
