Afternoon, my beautiful sisters!!  I apologize for being MIA lately......lots of real life happening!!  Feel badly that I missed the birth of CEK's beautiful granddaughter Gianna, and I'm sure many other happenings!!  My thoughts are always with you guys......just don't get much chance to say hello!!

Thank you to all that expressed concern!  Hubby is doing nicely, almost back to his usual cheery self (that's sarcasm right there, lol)!!   Seriously, he is doing fine and should be 100% soon, thankfully.  Tristan saw the eye specialist yesterday, and things don't look too serious at this time.  He will wear an eye patch two hours per day, and they will check his progress in three weeks.  The sight of this tiny boy looking like Captain Jack Sparrow, just melted my heart!!  He's a trouper, and doesn't seem all that bothered by it!!  We are hoping that the bones in his face will go back into position on their own, without anything more than therapy and possibly a helmet for a while.  We won't know that until he sees the neurologist. He is the sweetest boy and we are enjoying him immensely!!  Big brother Dylan has been amazing!!  He is my daughter's biggest help and I love him so much for it!!

Summer school has been a little rough.  The boy that I work with is moving to a different classroom next year.  I have been working on a transition plan with the teaching assistant who was scheduled to be his one-on-one in the fall.  I found out on Friday, that she spoke with the principal and informed him that she would rather not work with this boy in the fall.  He is severely autistic and requires more than she is used to giving.  I am really upset by this news. After giving 110% to this boy for two full terms and 4 summer school sessions, I was hoping that he would be placed with someone who will to do the same.  It is really sad that so many people only do what is required and are not willing to go the extra mile for these kids!!  It makes all the difference in the world, and I am proud of what I have been able to help them accomplish by giving my all.  I will have to wait and see what plans will be in place for this boy in September.

I hope that you are all doing well and enjoying the summer!!  Personally......I am looking forward to some cooler temperatures!!  My menopausal self doesn't fair too well with all of this humidity!!  I probably won't get to catching up on all that I have missed......please forgive me!!  I am hoping to be able to chat more soon!!  The next few weeks will be busy as well, getting my youngest ready for college!!  Move-in day is August 20th.........so excited for her!!  She had orientation last week and absolutely loved it!!  Then it will be an empty nest for hubby and me, first time in forever!  Looking forward to it and Mondays with my girls!!

Thanks again for everything......you guys are amazing!!  xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

I am glad your hubby is improving and that the little one will be better soon!  It is funny how well the little ones do with things, much better than some adults...

I am sorry that summer school it rough too, my son actually was able to switch this year to a History class, he will still teach special ed students in them, but this year was the worse for him emotionally with a couple of his students and really pulled at his heart.  I just couldn't belive the way some parents treat their children...it makes a difference now that he has his own.  It was very hard on him as a parent not just a teacher.

I remember that empty nest, I felt lost, but then my daughter moved back along with her hubby and three pets...LOL, but I love them both, well all 5 of them sometime the 4 legged ones the best...LOL

I to am looking forward to cooler temps...90-100 is a bit more than I like along with the humidity.

I can't wait till the DWTS Monday Night Sisterhood Get Togethers....I miss that...

Thinking about you and sending you HUGS my friend....

Praying all goes well for your little grandson, Cassidy.  I'm sure he'll be just fine.

God bless you for giving your all to that little guy in your classroom.  We need more teachers like you.  The best thing you can do now is to pray that God would place him where he can get the attention and care he deserves.  Let us know what happens to him.
