I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Bride Asks Her 89-Year-Old Grandmother To Be Her Bridesmaid – And She Steals The ShowDoesn’t Nana Betty look beaut? [Photo: Sweetwater Portraits]At the dear old age of 89, Nana Betty is fast winning the heart of the nation after acting as her granddaughter’s bridesmaid.Elizabeth Govern (or Nana Betty as her family call her) was asked by her granddaughter Christine to be one of her four bridesmaids because they’re BFFs and by the looks of things she stole the show.Photos of the gorgeous granny have gone viral as she proved that being a bridesmaid shouldn’t just be left to the young ‘uns.Christine and Nana Betty are ‘best friends’. [Photo: Sweetwater Portraits]Christine had to plead her grandmother to take on the job and after asking her about 10 times Nana B finally agreed and stood beside the bride at her 2 May wedding.“The decision was easy given the strength of our relationship,” Christine, from Pennsylvania told Huff Post. “Who doesn’t want her best friend standing beside her on her wedding day?”Nana Betty even donned the same frock as the other bridesmaids – all of which were a good 60 years younger. But while the other bridesmaids opted for sleeveless, strapless and one-shoulder variations of the dusky purple dress, Nana B rocked sheer sleeves – and looked beautiful. You’re never too old for a good time. [Photo: Sweetwater Portraits]Christine says her gran was the life and soul of the party – which, judging by this pics, we have no problem believing.“She had the entire wedding party laughing with her words of wisdom and funny comments throughout the day.”“Nana got on the party bus with the rest of the wedding party instead of ‘going home to rest’ but did not tell my mom (her daughter),’ the bride revealed. “She also danced the entire night away, including an adorable moment when she and my husband’s grandmother, Bellsie, danced together. It was amazing.”Nana Betty told her granddaughter that she loved the day, saying, “You’re only as old as you feel and I feel young today.”Wise words, Nana B.

That is absolutely PRECIOUS!!  You've gotta love "old ladies" ("old" is relative, thank you very much!!  LOL)!  If they aren't bitter and witchy (most aren't), they steal the show by saying exactly what they think--and adoring their children and grandchildren.  Kudos to the bride for giving Nana Betty something to talk about for the rest of her life!!!!!  A very special moment for all....

I wish that eating cookies, cake, pie, candy, etc. made you lose weight, was good for you,  and firmed your muscles as if you spent all day every day working out! LOL

Be sure to take one empty bag, CEK--to bring home all the "loot"!!  LOL  Southwest is the best for free bag checking, but they aren't the cheapest airline usually so I guess they get you one way or the other!!!  LOL

First time I've "read" the People article. Not much there, is there?   First, it's a very old pic of Maks and Peta and second, it doesn't really say much!!  Nothing really new or earthshaking.  Typical of Maks--"it's amazing" which he says all the time anyway and about everything!  So many magazine articles are pretty much recycled or a compilation of outtakes from other ones.  I begin to wonder, what's the big deal?!

I don't see Bitsy as being an obsessive fan, I see her as being observant and calling it like it is. No matter how much we want these people to be perfect, they aren't and never will be.  There is not a thing she said in her comments that isn't true.  Maybe it is the fans who delude themselves into thinking that Maks belongs on a pedestal that need the psychiatric assistance.  To glorify Maks isn't being fair to him.  A much healthier attitude would be to concede that he is human like the rest of us with his share of faults.  Just saying....

I have never put Maks on a pedestal.  I defend him and Peta because I think the hate that they get on this board is absolutely ridiculous and unwarranted.  I don't think I have ever said that Maks was better than Meryl or that Maks can do no wrong or anything putting Maks above Meryl.  I just think it's really silly to call him and Peta names because he is not dating Meryl.  If that makes me delusional, then so be it.  I feel like I am not a bad person who intentionally speaks bad about other people and I can hold my head up high.  It's Maks and Peta and Meryl's life and they can be with whomever they want.

Am I missing something, Carrie? Weren't your comments last nite about Bitsy's comments?

Let me add that I thought it was a foregone conclusion that comments made on the board spoke in generalities. Speaking of ridiculous and unwarranted, is retaliation really necessary?   I don't believe anyone has ever stated that they HATE Maks because of his choice in women or any other reason.
