I just wanted to share this that I ran across while paying bills - it might help some.  It is intended for school supplies shopping I guess.  Twelve states are not charging tax on those items this weekend







 

  Gotta get back to work...I'm ecstatic that we are ordering all materials for the new, front deck!!  The old porch and brick planter had to be bulldozed away after the flood to make room for the FEMA trailer (which we lived in for a year).  We wanted it (the trailer) on our property rather than moving to a FEMA community built outside of town.

For 2 years, we have lived with a temporary set of steps at the front door.  Adequate, but this new Trex deck marks a real "progress is being made" moment for me.

Before I sign off for now, on a personal note, daughter called yesterday to say that they signed the "adoption placement" papers for the baby!!!!   YEA!!!  That means they will next be able to set a date for the final adoption!!!  Another trip coming up, it would seem!!!!  Unfortunately, we can't do it in October when we go up for the Hall of Fame induction of daughter's 1995 national tournament softball team because her MIL has a family wedding the same day (daughter and SIL got a dispensation from the bride's dad--SIL's brother!)!!!  We'll figure it out, I'm sure!!!  Just so pleased that the final phase is near.  It's been just one year (on Aug. 22) since baby was place with them in foster care.

Jet...congratulations !  I remember they were fostering a baby, but had thought I missed some of the news along the way.  This is wonderful!

What a lot of babies and baby news in the Ladies Room.  I love it.

 Thanks for bringing that over from the new thread, View.  Very exciting news!  We are thrilled!!   This is the 2nd of their 3 that have come through the fost-adopt program.  It just takes time.  Baby was placed with them as a foster child August 22, 2014--the day she was 13 mos. old.  She is quite a little pistol when she wants to be!!  So much fun!  Love having a little one around again.

We are looking forward to learning the adoption date.  Guess we will have a busy fall!!  AND our English friends will be arriving Nov. 16--staying till January 5, 2016!!!
