Good evening, ladies!

CEK, you sweetie ... thinking about everyone else when it's almost DISNEY time!!! 😊 Yes, we are all moved in. Finally got sod put in yesterday and started putting together the kids' new trampoline - as promised!! They start school Monday (boo!!!) so I'm guessing I'm gonna be a little sad for a few days - my baby will be in full-day kindergarten this year ... waaahhhh!!! I'm starting a new job the week after - my first outside the home in nearly 13 years. I am going to assistant teaching at the preschool where our youngest attended last year. I'm going to be working in the two-year-old room two days a week! His teacher from last year called and asked me to apply ... I was quite flattered and like her a lot so decided to give it a whirl. More babies to cuddle while mine are at school! 😊

Congratulations on the new job, Tennessee!  And how nice being asked!  I would probably feel a tad anxious after a big gap.  To know they wanted you, must make it a lot easier.

Yay !!  Good for you.  I hope you enjoy your new job Tenn.  It will help the day go by faster till your little ones are home from school.

Oh, Tennessee....baby of the family going off to all-day kindergarten.  I remember this too.  And yet, you have to be so non-chalant and up-beat, so "worrying about mama...she's sad"  isn't a burden put on them at all.

Your idea to work part time is great.  And remember, these little empty nest experiences are toughening you up for the Big One.    I read somewhere long, long ago that motherhood is simply a series of goodbyes.  We help them learn steps toward independence...and then Yikes!  they become independent.

I'll bet your Tennessee home is beautiful.  So happy that you are finally settled.  And maybe you'll have a little more time to visit with us.  We're hoping that the coming season of DWTS will offer some fascinating celebrities and interesting couples.  I remind myself that I was not going to watch Season 19 at all - only tuned in to see if possibly Meryl was in the audience - and ended up loving the season.

Awww......Tennessee thats  an  emotional day seeing your baby head off to school  for the first time ....how is school going???? ....glad your all moved in to your new home....here's a house warming gift

Awww! Thank you for the pretty candles ... nice and relaxing! 😊

Gotta get back to work...I'm ecstatic that we are ordering all materials for the new, front deck!!  The old porch and brick planter had to be bulldozed away after the flood to make room for the FEMA trailer (which we lived in for a year).  We wanted it (the trailer) on our property rather than moving to a FEMA community built outside of town.

For 2 years, we have lived with a temporary set of steps at the front door.  Adequate, but this new Trex deck marks a real "progress is being made" moment for me.

Whoo HOO !!!  So glad that the repairs are coming along and that you will be getting your new deck soon.

I bet you were so happy to get out of that Fema Trailer. A year is a long time.....glad you were at least on your property, so that it kind of felt more like home.  Any more major repairs that you need to do?

Okay..........may have missed some "news" as I was trying to scan things quickly.

Jet....once again, congrats on the adoption process moving ahead.  Let me know when I can bake another "grand daughter" cake. lol

Oh.....Vmmm.......haven't seen you around lately.  I hope all is going well, especially now that the school year is getting closer.

Take care everyone.....

April, congrats on the newest addition to your family. I'm sure she is a stunner!
Also, your daughter is in my prayers (and has been from the beginning) and I am sending huge hugs to her and to your family, I know this has not been an easy year.  My 89 year old Aunt says a prayer for her each day while she says the rosary.  She asked me about her Friday night when we spoke.  Gotta love those prayer warriors!

I'm bumping the main thread back to the top....tried to add something to the Story. It's funny how odd it sometimes seems, and then ends up making sense.

Ditto from me, april.   And thank you to your aunt, eastcoast.  And Luv, what amazing cakes!
