Tonight is Who Do You Think You Are?
But it seems to be a night where they air an episode from their archives.
Next week will be Bryan Cranston
I think Booky was asking when Tom Bergeron's is on.....and it is August 30th.
Oh good...I'm glad I haven't missed it! Thanks View!

Hey everyone...Sorry for not getting on before now. We have been going from here to there and by the time we get in the room I am beat. We were in the Magic Kingdom till 2am last night and then up early for Animal Kingdom this morning. It has rained every day right around the time we are getting ready to go to dinner...LOL
The grandchildren are having a fantastic time and want to do everything, but Kenzie is to short for some of the rides...Kaylee the baby LOVED "Its a Small World" her reaction to that was priceless and worth the trip!!!
I am doing pretty good with my back done a lot of sitting and no rides that I am not suppose to ride. My ankles and feet have been swollen for the past couple days and today was the worse. My two children decided along with my daughters best friend that joined us decided that I need to be off my feet and in a wheelchair today, so I had no choice...so I am now laying in the bed with my feet propped up on two pillows....LOL It is making me angry!!!
Hope all of you are doing well and I am trying to catch up with post from my cell. I miss being on the board with all you, but we will be home really late Tuesday night...plane lands at 10:30 pm...
Well I have to get ready for dinner...we are eating at EPCOT in Germany tonight.
I will talk to you all when I can again....
HUGS to you all!!!

Hey, CEK....sounds like you are having a great time!!! No worries on the wheelchair....if it helps you make it through the rest of the trip, why not??!! We've learned how to take full advantage at Disneyland when we need to!!! When you walk at least you can push around all the baby stuff, extra purses, purchases, etc.!!!! LOL
Hope you had a memorable dinner in Germany. I love Vienner Schnitzel and Yaeger Schnitzel!! Also Spaetzle--oh, and red cabbage and sauerkraut!!! LOL
Continue to have a wonderful time...and take lots of photos!! Memories to last a lifetime!

I haven't looked at the weather but the blast furnace is on full force outside here, it would seem!! Heading out to the airport for a dinner date with hubby at a basque restaurant out that way (about 30 miles east). Gunner reports 109 at her house which is further east still--and my "point the finger into the wind" test reveals well over 100 here. Where's the cool ocean breeze??!!! We promise to be good if it will just return!!! LOL
Hope everyone is having a nice lazy crazy day of summer.....staying cool!
xxxxx oooooWHOA!!!!!!!!! That is hot. You don't have too much humidty do you? Still, that is way too hot. Please try and stay cool Ladies. Do you have good AC?
OH..........BTW HI JET....just started the convo without saying hi. LOL
Hey, Luv....thanks for the nice PM. I wrote you back.
We do have good AC but only use it on exceptionally hot days. Ceiling fans are good enough most of the time....unless we get into the upper 90s and above. SoCal structures are all built without any insulation unless you put it in yourself. Brilliant, huh?!!!

Tango....assume you arrived home safely and hope that you are recovering from jet lag. Couple more days will turn you around. I always find the 4th day to be the absolute WORST!!
Really out of here now....for the moment!GO TANGO!!!!
Yes, I am home, ladies! It was a nice vacation. I just wish the return trip didn't spoil all the R&R for a few days. 24+ hours due to a flight delay (in the U.S. on United, the Germans on 2 Lufthansa flights were scrupulously on time) and no vacancies at the hotels we tried on our drive home from the airport.
When I manage to get some pictures posted, I'll post the link here so you can see them, but don't hold your breath, because I still haven't posted last year's pictures.
Of course, I have to dive right back into work. New employee to replace the one I had to fire last May starts Monday. Fortunately, I don't have any serious travel this fall until the weekend before Thanksgiving when I have a conference in San Diego. I'll stop on the way home and hubby will join me in Denver to spend Thanksgiving with our son. We return on Black Friday because he'll have to go back to work, and then the following Tuesday, it's off to Sway 4.0.
I am still on Cloud 9 with the experience that I anticipate for Sway. 6 days of multiple hours of classes, many taught by Maks, Val & Tony, 5 private lessons (PPCs that at least one of them will be with M/V/T), all the Sway shows with Meet & Greets and the after party. Hubby will be flying in for the Sat. night show. Still not sure exactly how that will work because I'll be busy with classes and matinee and won't be free to pick him up.
I've already started my diet (need to lose at least 35 lbs.). I'll get back to my swimming 3 days a week on Monday. And I'm going to try and find a personal trainer at our local gym where I swim to work on some specifics. I want to work on core strength and arms. I'm already determined not to do anything that might endanger feet/ankles/knees. I can dance with a bad arm, not a sprain in a foot or ankle.
I worked out but didn't seriously diet before my previous dance experiences. I wasn't so worried about generic dance teacher 30 years younger than me. Now, if I'm going to be standing there with people probably a lot younger and more fit than me, facing the "big 3," I'm going to get serious.
Who would have thought when I read Cassidy's account here of Sway 1.0 that I would be heading off a year later to Sway 4.0, that Alex and Eugene would know me by name, that Maks and Tony would recognize me (not sure about Val), that a whole bunch of other people (members of the cast, studio managers, Merv) also recognize me although they may not be sure exactly who I am? I am in dance heaven, and I don't intend to leave until they kick me out.
I am convinced that the pre-Sway dance seminars/lessons are only for DWM students. I have not seen them mentioned anywhere else. Not even in e-mails from the studios, because I'm sure there are a lot of fans who sign up who have never/will never go there. In fact, I am on the e-mail lists of all the studios, even though I'll probably never get to them all. One of my instructors in May told me that they were doing a DWM trip to Italy and one to Brazil maybe next year. I never heard of that in any other place or saw any mention of it, but now there have been 2 or 3 recent pictures of the group that is in Italy now (Serge is with them). So I think these opportunities are only for their students (and I guess 16 hours of lessons in the past year makes me one of them). In any event, I think you'd have to be crazy to sign up for multiple hours of lessons each day for several days if you (a) had no ballroom experience (b) had no clue what you were getting in to. It's hard work. And both my teachers at Soho told me that the out-of-towners/fans/Swayers who come to take a lesson are almost always true beginners.
I don't know if I mentioned this in my previous Sway post either. The night before I left on my vacation, I e-mailed Alex (I was certain of his e-mail), what I thought was Eugene's e-mail (based on how the others are set up), as well as the Soho studio general e-mail telling them my situation about being out of the country when pre-sale happened. Of course, as you know, Eugene called me and we set everything up, and he subsequently sent me a confirmation e-mail from the sway e-mail address. However, he also copied Alex on it, and Alex replied to me, too, telling me how happy he was I'd be joining them again and that it would be the best Sway ever.
So thanks for the welcome home. Congratulations on all the new babies! I'm so sorry for all of you who are now or still dealing with health issues (your own or your family's), and I wish everyone a speedy recovery. I'll try to be better about posting!
Glad you are back, tango. Hope all goes well with the new employee tomorrow. We've missed you and KOS while you've been gone and she's had computer problems.
You are most ambitious in your SWAY goals. Hope you are successful but be sure to maintain your health...what you are proposing is very rigorous, but you know that!
